Had dinner here last night, the food was great the service was not. Everything was fine up until we got our food, our waitress never came back over to check on us, ask how our food was or if we needed anything else. Once we were finished, we had our plates stacked in a pile showing that we were done, we waited 20 minutes for her to come bring us our bill. Meanwhile she was helping the table right in front of us, but wouldn’t look over at us at all. Gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was just really busy, but after 20 minutes we finally had to walk up to the bar to pay and get another drink.
Finally got a chance to try this place out and we were blown away! Amazing food, drinks, service and live music!!! Everything was great! Even my 6 year old son loved his food (mister picky eater)! Wow, definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant! Go check them out! You won’t be disappointed.

Live music by Juan! He was very very good! Highly recommend this place! The service was amazing and the best tamales ever! Can't wait to go back and soak up some of the ambiance and some fancy tequila.
So disappointed server was not nice on the mistakes made. I was charged extra and not treated with the Latina Love we normally are treated with.

Went to Señor Tequila Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Bar on the southside of Des Moines the other day. Always hesitant with new spots until proven wrong. This place is without doubt the coolest and most well designed Mexican restaurants by far I’ve ever been too. Plus the tacos were fantastic & service was great despite only being open for a couple months. The owners have a local gem with this spot.
The food here is excellent. Staff is friendly, and attentive. I was seated and given a menu within a minute of entering the restaurant. I ordereda seafood burittowhich was absolutely huge! Contained shrimp, crab, scallops, and other fish, as well as rice, and bell peppers. I'll be going back soon!
The food is spectacular! They offer a nice variety of vegetarian options that are absolutely worth checking out! Margaritas are a also nothing short of delicious! The restaurant is just a short, quick drive from the downtown area.
My husband and I have been here twice. We had margaritas, queso, shrimp fajitas, shrimp tacos, chicken chimichanga. Delicious food, strong drinks, laid back environment and great service each time. This will be our 'go to' for a sit down, Mexican meal.
