The staff was awesome. Sat our group of 9 down fairly fast. Very attentive waitress, and made sure we took advantage of happy hour. Even brought us sake bombs. The signature shrimp apps and chicken wings were very good. But the sushi was mediocre. Took a very long time to get our rolls, even though there was like 15 guys behind the sushi counter and the restaurant wasnt packed. HUGE pieces not cut evenly, some so big they were triple bites, then some small. Then there was 2 different rolls that I ordered crammed on a tiny square plate. Not plated very appealingly. And inconsistent. My sister and I both got the same roll, one had seared tuna other was not. I'll go back for happy hour and to have some specials, but won't be back with my whole family again. Wait staff deserves the praise on this review. But that's about it.
Popped in here on a recommendation after an I Cubs game and we had a wonderful time! All the bartenders were very attentive and knowledgeable. Hyrum was our main bartender and he made it very enjoyable. Keep it up guys!!
Great place to have amazing sushi and good service
This had been one of my favorite sushi places in the Des Moines metro for years but lately the service is excruciatingly poor. Expect to show up to a reservation and be told that they don't have it in their system and expect it to take 45 minutes to get your check, regardless of volume. The host is always on their cell phone until you speak. Odd part is the owner is usually on the floor but the service has plummeted
This is my new spot. The bae and I went here for her birthday and were super impressed. The atmosphere is cool. It stay busy so get in there soon. The Dynamite shrimp is so good. The Hulk sushi roll was delicious. Might be common go to because there cocktails are good as well.
Very fun spot. Loved that they had a vegan menu. Really liked the music that was playing, and was packed on a Monday night for dinner. I had the vegan gyoza and vegan dragon roll and both were delicious. I plan on going back to try the rest of the vegan menu!
Sakari Sushi is delicious! The prices are fair and the service, once you’re seated, is great! I highly recommend their dynamite shrimp appetizer and lion king roll!
