I absolutely loved the customer service and the food was amazing! 10/10 would always recommend in fact I’m on my way there now?
Only positive things to say here! Rico's is an awesome local spot in the Drake neighborhood that has delicious bar food! An awesome spot to go to for good food and sports on TVs. Thus far I've only scratched the surface with trying their drinks, wings & tacos, but there's many other tasty looking things on the menu I look forward to ordering in the future... Not to mention the very friendly staff, plus the ownership/management are good people focused on being a presence for the community! Give this place a try - your tastebuds won't regret it! And a Public Service Announcement: Let's all give public bars/restaurants a break when it comes to timeliness of service. The restaurant industry has suffered heavily since the COVID pandemic... Despite this, these great people here are committed to providing the BEST service and food in heart of the Des Moines neighborhood!
I came here for the first time on my birthday and had an excellent time. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. There was a small wait for the food but it was totally worth it.
Hamburger was like a hockey puck, dry as heck. Ordered onion rings which was 5 greasy rings. Ordered a plain salad but came with very dry, hard and flavorless chicken. Wings were ok. All food arrived at our table cold. Only one other customer but our order took 45 minutes. The floor was so sticky it literally pulled my shoes off. Service was not good, every request took 5 or 10 minutes (napkins, water). I will not be going back.
We just moved into the neighborhood and I love wings. The buffalo wings were amazing I will definitely be coming again and trying out other things on the menu

Rico's was recommended to us. The food was fantastic - catfish was excellent as was the fried shrimp. We enjoyed the food. I'd give the servers 6 stars if possible - they were fantastic. It looked a little short staffed, but so is everywhere. Nevertheless, we were checked on quite a bit and everything went pretty quickly.My only suggestion would be for management to step in when patrons are too loud or vulgar for a prolonged period. We saw it in the early dinner hour - all while the restaurant was serving families (one with 3 young children).
