Had mixed feeling aboit this place. Honestly had a ton of fun options on the menu- maybe too many. Everything was okay, but i wouldn’t go back for anything i tried but the pancakes honestly. I do think I would try their dinner menu another time. Didn’t like everything i ordered, including drinks, but the service was good and i think a lot of people would enjoy it here and do! Always packed.

This little restaurant has a LOT of character. It's a wooden, cabin-like building, perfect for its lakeside location. There is large bar seating area both inside and outside. There's 80s music jamming when you walk in. The food is delicious. I enjoyed the chorizo bacon hashbrown plate, and my husband had a country fried steak. There is a nice breakfast drink menu, but they serve lunch and dinner also. Some breakfast items are available all day. The staff were friendly. This place definitely put a smile on our faces. We will definitely be back.

Great brunch spot!! They had us put in our names, grab drinks, and wait in the car. Which was fun still. We got in on a Saturday about 11 after a 45 min wait. The stuff is all super friendly and very attentive. They have a HUGE menu!! The bloody Mary’s are simple but good. Definitely a return spot especially during the summer with the outside seating open!

This was my first(successful)visit for breakfast and it did not disappoint! I brought my 73 year old dad mid-week and we shared a breakfast pizza. It was delicious!we both loved the pizza and were stuffed and had pizza leftover. Service was quick and efficient. I’ve been here several times and enjoyed the outdoor seating overlooking the river and ballpark. The sweet potato tots with marshmallow dipping sauce is to die for btw. Parking can be at a premium and if you want breakfast on the weekend.....plan to wait! FYI, there is a bike path trailhead across the street. You can take it Southeast to Easter Lake or west to Gray’s Lake and beyond. P.S. my dad feels “cool” now that he’s been to Mullet’s.

Visited on a Monday morning. The food and service were both excellent. If I an ever in Des Moines again I would definitely return.

BY FAR, one of our favorite breakfast and lunch place in the Des Moines area. Great prices, some of the nicest staff, and delicious food with numerous options to choose from. Head to Mullets for your next meal! You won’t regret it.

Mullets has a variety of tasty breakfast offerings. I was here for the Eggs Benedict . My wife and I went here at 11:00 on Sunday so she could eat lunch and I could try their "Bennys" . I was not ready for the 45 minute wait. It was very busy so I expected service to be a little slow.I have a "top ten" list for these. After our visit these "Bennys" did not make the "top ten"My rating is based on 3 weights :70% = taste20% = presentation10% = priceTaste was plain, not seasoned.Presentation was good.Price was normal.Service was not good. The food was brought to the table by kitchen staff. I didn't have a knife to cut my food. By the time I was able to get anyone to get a knife the Benedict was almost cold.I would have given a 2 star review if it hadn't been for the Biscuit and gravy that I had. Very good and tasty.

Long wait, but expected that on Sunday morning. All enjoyed food. Lots of it. Very attentive staff.

Good staff and pretty good service. Didn’t like having to wait outside in the cold for a table. Hash browns and eggs were undercooked. Over med eggs shouldn’t be slimy
