I really like it here, usually come here to get some office/studying done. But today, the 30-something with a beard and slightly balding accused me of stealing the receipt from the receipt printer.....which is weird, because why would anyone do that. When I said, nope I didn't grab the receipt, he asked me about it two more times, even said 'but i heard the sound of paper ripping', and then rolled his eyes as though he didn't believe me. I'm stumped.And now I went up to get a coffee refill (the other times I've been here, each 'for here' mug gets one free refill). He refused a free refill and made me pay for another cup. When I asked whether this was a new policy, he just said "cash or card" I'm happy to pay for the coffee, I just don't like being treated like a suspicious person for no reason.
Excellent coffee, friendly staff, good place. Good location near Drake. I would return if I were in the neighborhood.
Coffee was very water down. Atmosphere was great so was the bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich.
Great atmosphere. I'm an inventor and author. I live in South Carolina now. Last time I was at Mars was in 2019.
Best in class independent coffee shop. Chill vibe, spacious and easy to social distance. GREAT espresso drinks - ask for the Sputnik or their version of a mocha. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches worth the $$. And, super friendly service!!

It was a little noisy. More than I expected but had a good time. Coffee and pastry were very good.
This is the second time we have graced you business, and it is probably the last. Ordered 2peach tea. The tea was so weak, you had to work at it to taste any peach. It was colored water. The guy that made the tea, said he followed the recipe, and THAT WAS peach tea. I am not a tea drinker so much. But I know peach. Then he insinuated we had covid, because according to him loss of taste is a symptom of covid. That was not necessary to insult first our tea, and say we needed to go get tested. No, now that I think about it, we will not come back, and word of mouth gets around.
The coffee was good, and I also had their yogurt parfait. The cafe itself looked a little worn, but the seats were comfortable and the staff was nice.
