This place is awesome! I knew there were places that were open late for Mexican food, but I didn't know where and I didn't know they could possibly have this good of food. We went through the drive up, ordered our food and waited at the window until the food was done. That food was so good! I'm in love. I'm sorry that this restaurant is no where close to my home.
This place use to be a go to for me, but huge decline in quality. Last two burritos I ordered had more raw onions than meat. Not sure if that's a strategic ploy to keep costs down, but taking a big bite of raw onion is not pleasant. I wish they would do better.

Combo fajitas plate is outstanding. Carne Asada tacos are very good. Large flour tortillas are authentic and delicious. Jalapeño poppers are hand made, big too. Have only used drive thru, wait has never been bad when there's a line. Nice people working the window, always.
Consistently great food. It’s not FAST fast food but if you go with the mindset that you’re getting take-out Mexican, the time it takes is totally reasonable.
I’ve never had a bad experience at Maria’s - super tasty food, large portions, & reasonable prices. Their freshly made chips with salsa from the salsa bar are a must get (esp the party salsa). The chicken chimichanga is big enough for 2 and the chicken is nicely seasoned (it’s especially great covered in the white queso sauce). And we never leave without a Bavarian cream churro- they are the best!
It's impossible for us to come to Des Moines without stopping here. Glorious food, large portions, super late dine hours, 24 hour drive thru and a fantastic sauce bar inside. An absolute favorite for comforting, no frills mexican food with tons of flavor and guaranteed to fill you up.
They was awesome with there food. I have never had a problem with there food ever. They are nice and stay in top of you need anything. I don't have to go to Des Moines to get my favorite taco's anymore they have it.
