Great cafe! We had a fantastic time. The barista was very attentive and the drinks were fantastic. I had an iced green tea and it was great. There are power outlets, wifi, and great places to sit.Highly recommend! Probably the best spot for coffee in Downtown Des Moines.
Easy on the eyes menu, chill staff and a big open space to consume coffee and do coffee related things that one does in a coffee shop.The cold brew wasn't bitter when served up black which is a good thing and the latte was creamy with that good flavor you hear about when people talk openly of enjoying a good cup of coffee.
Flew in from tx and looked up, “best coffee in Des Moines” and Horizon Line Coffee popped up. The ambiance is hip and adorable! Staff was so kind! What pushed me over the edge were the glass jar take away cups! What an amazing concept and just the cutest idea!The coffee was DELICIOUS!!Other coffee shops should look into the glass jars! They give an incentive if you bring them back and use again! Will definitely be back next time we are in town!!!
Been coming here often on my trips back from NYC. Now that I've moved to Downtown Des Moines, this is still my staple. Great coffee, incredibly welcoming, very clean, and awesome staff. If you're looking for a great cup of coffee (quite frankly the best in Iowa) you have to stop in!
Great coffee in Des Moines. Definitely worth a stop in. Love how the company is so ethical in everything it does. Great example of a for profit business that also cares about leaving the world a better place. To go coffee is in reusable glass jars which is just awesome!
I always love the coffee here. I love the clean, open space. Seating is limited so during warmer weather I take my coffee to go (which they serve in reusable jars). We were able to sit this time so we got a savory scone to share and it was SO GOOD!!!
Best coffee I’ve ever tasted. All their pastries are amazing and vegan. All their syrups are handmade and vegan. Best of all it’s the kindest service ive ever received at a coffee shop.

I got the “Winter Beats” latte and wow- such a fun myriad of flavors. Really well crafted. Ive lived in Los Angeles for almost a decade and let me tell you, your coffee surpasses anything out in that Lalaland too! Lastly, thankyou so much for offering vegan treats. What a rarity in the midwest. They were so so good. We will be back! Im happy i found my new coffee place.
I love that this place will only serve in reusable glass jars! To go come with lids. Tried an oat milk latte- miso orange infusion. Was delicious and perfectly made!!! Was a barista in the past and can get a little particular about my lattes. Will be going back to try again, highly recommend! Would give them a 5 , but honestly the service was not the friendliest. No worries, can’t judge it all from one experience! Thanks for the delicious latte all the same!
Best coffee in town (lattes, coffee, beans- I get it all here.) Staff is always so kind. And finally a coffee shop that has boldly chosen to move away from disposable cups. Horizon Line is my favorite for more than just the coffee!
