It's alright but I think the bathroom may need a sign that says when the door is locked someone is using the restroom. This lady was pounding on the door and even asked the Barista for a key to the bathroom. My friends even told her there was someone in there but she refused to listen. It made me extremely uncomfortable. Barista and coffee were great, other customers are what changed the atmosphere.
Sooo glad this was one of the only coffee shops open on Sunday near downtown because the coffee was DELICIOUS! We got an iced americano and iced white chocolate mocha latte…yum! Some of the best I’ve ever had and I am always trying new places for iced lattes during my travels.I assumed it would be a little slow but it was popping with regulars. Great service too! This place needs to be added to trip advisor!
Great coffee and friendly service. The barista made my coffee with love and really tried to get to know me while I waited. You can tell how much he loves his job abs it’s so contagious! What a great way to start your day with a good cup of coffee and friendly conversation. Can’t ask for anything more here!

The other reviews don't lie -- this is the best coffee shop in Des Moines by far, and probably among the best I've had anywhere period. Daniel makes a superb coffee and is always good for a chat. Definitely worth a visit if you live, work or visit downtown DSM and need a pick-me-up.
Awesome coffee! I just got it for the first time today and I loved it! I'm definitely going back. Frequently too :) Daniel is really cool and fun to talk to as well. If you're in the East Village of Des Moines, than this SHOULD be YOUR GO TO coffee shop. I wish it didn't take me a year to discover this.
Barista is super friendly… he let me in 20 minutes after their closing time and still made a coffee !Obviously the coffee is really good too !
Fantastic little coffee bar featuring locally roasted, specialty coffee as well as retail bags of some of the best specialty roasters from across the country. Also selling honey farmed by Daniel, the owner, and he uses it in the signature drinks he makes in the shop! Great vibes and great drinks, one of the best coffee shops in Iowa.
