Solid two thumbs up. My morale jumped 20 points with the great customer service and the triple scoop coconut on a waffle cone. Looking forward to visiting again.

The best ice cream, many flavors to pick from. So delicious and creamy, it's my favorite. Better than Dairy Queen or Baskin Robbins IMO.
Excellent ice cream or frozen custard! Fast, friendly service! The strawberry shortcake is enough to share for 2! But so good if you want to eat it all yourself!
Had the small banana custard malt. Absolutely delicious. The small was plenty filling. Quite big, actually. Can't imagine what the large looks like! My date had the black raspberry malt. She loved it. Nice nostalgic trip to get a cool summer treat.
Definitely a place to go if you like frozen custard. Been in Des Moines for a very long time It is a little known local favorite They have all kinds of frozen custards and toppings. You can mix and put them into. This place is always packed so make sure you get in for an early treat right before or after lunch cuz dinner time is nuts but it's worth it
I LOVE the frozen custard and the portion size. One of our favorite places for ice cream. But it would be nice if they cleaned the place up a little bit. Tidiness and cleanliness go a long way. I usually don't stay there to eat my custard because of this (and the noise). But my biggest complaint is that they serve the custard in styrofoam! I don't let any of my food touch this stuff because of the microplastics you're ingesting and it's the WORST of the single-use plastics for the environment. Also, the plastic spoons they give you are the worst spoons I've ever used to eat anything. CFC: please don't use styrofoam! If not recycled/environmentally friendly containers, at least use some kind of plastic other than this evil stuff.
Got the small German chocolate sundae, think only thing small about it was in the name. Very good.
Local spot for great ice cream ?. The staff (I believe the son) of the family / owners gave us awesome recommendations and fun stories! You better understand the serving size because they are not joking here! I couldn’t even finish a small! Lol. Highly recommend!!!
The sweetest guy ever! A father and son run the place and the son was extremely kind and friendly I can't even explain how happy and chill and comfortable I felt, just great ppl all around! Not to mention how amazing the shake was! This place is amazing pls check them out b4 they close for the season!
