Best donuts in Des Moines par none. I hate to give such a high review because now I'll probably have a longer waist in line. ?
Secondhand review from my wife and daughter since I can't eat em (Celiac). They got Bavarian and lemon filled long johns (which are filled fresh when you order), a bear claw, a devil's food, and an apple fritter. The fritter was apparently the best of the batch, even though they raved about all of them.
The cronuts are the most amazing things!!! I’ll be getting as many as I can to take home to my family in Davenport, Iowa! I’ll be coming back to Des Moines and will make this a priority every time!!! Love love love it!
Great tasting, fresh and soft. Answered all our questions with no attitude and seemed very helpful and nice. Love the fact that they don't use any corn syrup in any of the items we asked about.
Not only are these some of the best donuts in Des Moines, but my peanut-allergy kid can eat here without worry since they don't use any peanuts. Definitely try a cronut!
The blueberry twist, maple bacon long John and old fashion were great. The apple fritter tasted a little burnt. Would definitely come back.
I go there once a week for our "cheat day". Pick your doughnut, then pick your filling and they add it right then. Also the apple fritter is just amazing.
I’m 53 years old and I just ate the best donut of my life. Granted I was there 3 minutes after they opened at 5:30am but WOW! A fluffy pillowy ring of happiness! Coffee is good to.
I'm pretty sure Chu Chu donuts are sprinkles with unicorn dust or something. They are the best donuts I've ever eaten; they never disappoint.
Our last hurrah of vacation: we got an apple fritter, a cake donut, a raised donut—all of them 10/10 delicious! Everyone was so friendly and kind. The donut shop smells wonderful, is super clean, and the donuts are beautiful as well as tasty. We will definitely make this place a new tradition! Thanks for making our last day in Des Moines so special!!
