I was lectured about how they call.out orders over and over and the sandwiches aren't picked up. They gave me someone else's sandwich.

Food was decent, but what a cluster. I think they could simply avoid some of the confusion by tying the orders to the name of the customer and not just calling out what the order is. Egg, ham and cheese.... yeah, popular item so not sure that's going to do the trick. Seems like a pretty simple solution. Staff was not friendly either, but I also understand they are likely short staffed with a line of grumbling customers.

One of the most discourteous service - there were just two people- the male was fine but the female who took my order ignored it completely fulfilled other orders after me.After 20 minutes of waiting, the lousiest flatbread pizza!

Server at Arugula and Rye at Des Moines airport was wonderful. She was working by herself early morning. She had a great attitude and prepared delicious food very fast.

I would NOT recommend this place. The bread tasted moldy & it wasn’t grilled even though we both ordered a grilled cheese sandwich.

preston who was working watched me wait in line for 20 minutes and took all the peoples orders before me. when I got to the front he ignored me for 5 minutes beofre telling me not to order as he had other things to do. When i asked how long it would be he said i dont know and again told me not to order anything or wait.

Sandwich was supposed to be egg white with lettuce, tomato, mushroom. What I got was rubbery precooked egg (not whites) with one tomato slice, for $7. Employee was texting WHILE making the sandwich. What a ripoff and impressively terrible service even for an airport. Keep it up Arugula & Rye, clearly you have no interest in improvement judging by all the terrible reviews. You get what you give and karma will come around for you ??

Horrible customer service; just stood there for 5 minutes waiting for my order to be taken (mind you there was no line). The employees will stop working to talk. I've never seen an unmotivated crew like this in my life. Don't waste your time here, you're better of going to freidrichs.

Extremely poor customer service. It’s too bad because the food looked good.

I understand airport food customarily is monstrously overpriced, but the blow feels more fatal here bc of the quality and amount served.SUMMARY:Tiny ciabatta sandwich for $10+Soggy bread within 5 minutes of receiving sandwichI asked for one item to be left off my sandwich and it was notMedicare flavor & poor blendingAlthough the market for this restaurant may be captive, I guess travels have other options within the airport that you could be worried about competing with. Unless you’re all owned by the same company or something. I don’t know
