Great environment great service
We are excited to find a place that served food past 10:00 pm. The Angry Goldfish has a large menu and everything was delicious, poutine, chicken and burgers! Eclectic decor and fun atmosphere. Service was great.

Went in a huge group for a business trip and we all had a good experience. Our waitress was nice and accommodating, she also had very good recommendations. The food was good and reasonably priced as well as the drinks. Nothing to brag about, but worth a visit if you are in the area for lunch or dinner. They did have nice drink specials too which is always a bonus.
4.5 stars if it was an option to pick! The lack of a 5-star is only because some of the ingredients felt more processed and out of a can or jar instead of handmade. That being said, this was a great eating experience and I highly recommend. We got the Angry Goldfish, Poutine, Boursin Burger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Asian PB and J Burger and the Sweet Pig Mac and Cheese. The only one that did not impress was the Mac and Cheese. Had there not been bacon on it, this would have failed miserably and I will not order again. The Asian PB and J was my favorite entree of them all. The other items were good. The Pub staff and server we had were welcoming and gave good service. This is a must eatery on your visit to the Des Moines area. They have inside and outside dinning.
Ate outside nice evening, artichoke spinach dip was way better than we expected. All burgers were doubles, so be hungry
Well my wife and I wanted to go somewhere different for fish and chips so we went here. We both really enjoy our dinner and said we’d come back again. The food was nice and hot and very tasty. The table by us had a hamburger that looked really good. So, that will be the next thing we’ll try on our return.The only thing I’d have to say negative about the place and there is not much they can do about it is their parking lot. I drive a handicap van that has been lowered for modification purposes, and I bottomed out trying to leave. I had to exit through the entrance and even that way was a little rough.The parking lot is also very small and only one handicap spot. Now, the spot they do have is a good one as it is right beside the building and no one can park beside you if you have a side entry like I do.Again, great food and the staff was very pleasant and attentive.I’d recommend this place and like I said, we’ll be back to taste more of their menu.
Very nice unique little pub and grill. Was busy for Sunday brunch. Yet the staff was quick to clear a table for us. There was a brunch menu and the regular menu. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great and came to our table hot. Parking is limited so be aware, you may have to park and walk a to the pub.
Wow, the burgers here are so good! I had the Asian Thai Peanut butter and Jam burger with gluten free bun. Fantastic food and service was excellent. Must stop place to eat with family sand friends.
My wife and I just went last night. We shared a small order of poutine (which was plenty for two), and it was delicious!!! We each ordered a specialty drink, and they tasted amazing. We each had the entree of Sweet Pig Mac and Cheese, and I would say it is in the top three mac and cheeses I've ever had. What did it for me were their special spaetzle noodles (which I'm pretty sure where homemade). Also, super fast and friendly service. We can't wait to go back and try something else from their menu!
