A beautiful positive atmosphere.. Loved the experience of..
Great views of the river with great drinks and appetizers. Had drinks and ordered the charcuterie board which came with a plethora of cheeses and meats! Well done and thanks for the amazing evening. A must stop for visitors to the river city!
Beautiful view of the city! Very understaffed. Basically have to go to the bar if you want to get a drink or food, no clear signs where to go or who's in line before you, the place was quite crowded. And a birthday was going on which made the place even more loud. Waited a half hour to get one drink, never got it. May still reconsider coming back for a date night to enjoy the view. Hopefully it'll be better staffed on my next visit.
First time to visit the UP Skybar. Weather was iffy for rain so we only had time to stay for one drink. Our service was excllent.. Just too bad we picked a day that the weather was not cooperating. It is beautiful looking out over the river.
Opening night for the season. You can't beat the views, and the bartender, Lyric, is friendly and helpful. There are gas fires outside and an indoor seating area if the weather isn't cooperative.Edit 4/24/2022: Dropped from four starts to three. Stopped by again on 4/23. It was considerably busier, since it was a gorgeous Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the staff couldn't seem to keep up with the demand. The staff are friendly, and I'm sure they mean well, but they lack coordination and an overall plan to address customer needs. There are signs advising customers to come to the bar to order, but staff would occasionally be seen taking orders and delivering drinks on the floor. Customers who did head to the bar to order found chaos. It is unclear where to approach the bar--At one end or the other? In the middle? Wedged between patrons seated at the bar?--and the order in which staff approached these brave souls remains a mystery. When one was able to put in an order, the order fulfillment was slower than even a busy Saturday night could justify. The views cannot be beaten, and the staff mean well, but they just are not running the operation well.
Sky bar is a very great place to have an amazing lunch and the views are some of the best in the Quad cities. It is winter in the Quad cities and I am questioning the temporary closure of this venue for the fact that it would be a great afternoon eagle viewing experience. With the addition of some binoculars and a great lunch menu I do think this would be marketable option please consider this for your future, thank you
Beautiful beautiful view. If they seat you properly. The waitstaff however leaves much to be needed. We spent over $400...likely closer to $500 and had to get over half of our drinks ourselves. They were extremely shortstaffed but our waitress also lacked common sense and decency. Never apologizing for a 35min wait for 2 drinks. Never checking on us after 1 hour of waiting for food. It was pretty terrible. So terrible we left after 2hrs even tho we had a good view. The three stars is for the view alone. The crowd was boring and older and there is no music to be heard outside. It was just all around very lackluster. I wouldn't go again.(The risotto is GOOD) (Do not recommend one drink here as they are all watery)
Above par atmosphere. Big city vibes on a Davenport rooftop
Sad it's sits on top of a beautiful hotel. The view from the lounge is awesome. It's the only thing worth going there for. Service was poor.. drinks even worse. I do not expect a "slushy machine" Pina Colada at a lounge like this let alone for $10. Old Fashioned was far too sweet and also not worth the $12. We were so looking forward to finishing our evening on the rooftop of our hotel. It really was a total letdown. ?
Very cool experience. I'm told it's even better in the evening with the lights, the fire and the city lights. It's more of a cocktail bar so anything you could think of to drink and only a small list of appetizers so do not come hungry. Lots of outdoor seating with comfortable couches. Must-try experience for anyone living in the Quad Cities.
