Came in to order a quick bite before our movie. We were told before ordering they "weren't taking any more orders until after 5pm". There was a baseball team in there but didn't look as if they were too backed up.That's fine. We will spend our money elsewhere. Another iconic restaurant that's gone downhill.

While it may look appealing it was the most terrible chili 5 way i have ever had. It was too salty, no flavor, and the spaghetti noodles were way way over cooked. And now with the kiosk and you have to pick your order up you can not tell anyone about your food or the service or anything. It doesn't feel like the store or people care any more. I have always looked forward to steak and shake and sadly this visit will forever be the last. I will not ever come back if this is the "new" steak and shake it's just very appalling that things changed to the point of not being at all any kind of service. Might as well close the doors and stick it in the freezer section because i have had better meals from the frozen foods section. Steak and shake has always been the place for comfort food and be affordable. Turning it in to fast food has made it worse than any other fast food place i have been to except 1 who also changed everything. Good thing i can cook because i am going to make a copy cat. It's really a shame we cant have good service any more but what happened to the food quality?

They give you a lot of food for the price that is a given. What I ordered turn out to be not so good and that was the garlic Burger. They put a sauce on top of the bun which makes it very hard to eat and Messi. I also found it to be too salty for my taste. But they do give you a lot of food.

They ruined another American iconic restaurant! Sure you can dine in now but no waitresses,no order taker because he is also the cook! Order on Kiosk only and eat with paper,plastic, and no plates. It seems they have all gone that way. I will never be back. Good luck with your new (This is the new norm concept!)

We couldn't wait until you opened back up. The place was full and lively. We came today, and had to order on a machine. Which we didn't like, and the food just wasn't the same. It made us very sad. We just don't think you'll make it like that. Good luck.

Terrible ordered at the driver thruThe burgers & fries were cold.I think they were cooked earlier than heated.The cheese wasn't even melted on the burgers.They were bad...I through them out!!!I will never go back there again!I wouldn't recommend the place to my worst enemy!!!

They ran out of cheese and the manager said they didn't have time to make shakes after i had already paid for them. I never got my shakes and am still waiting for my refund.

Drive thru used. Service was nice But burger was not at all! Never had a more dry awful tasteless cold bun in my life and the burger was cold too. Some condiments were left off which might have added to any favor to help.. I ended up throwing it away and going home and making average....Sorry I spent the money.

BUYER BEWARE. You will not get what you paid for, what you do get will be terrible, and the employees will ignore and/or yell at you.THE SERVICEOrders are placed through giant touchscreen kiosks now. You get your own drinks from the fountain. They'll yell your order number and leave your food on the counter (unattended). There's no human contact involved, which might be good for avoiding the spread of germs, but it's bad if you run into problems. We ran into problems.Our order came out with two items missing: a shake and a cup of coffee. We took our food and waited a while, hoping they'd call our number again. After half an hour, I went up to ask about the missing items. The employees ignored me until I said "excuse me," then glared at me silently until I continued. When I asked about our missing items, they yelled at me that there were only two of them working the line, and then turned their back on me and walked away.Yes, they stiffed us our food and then got mad at me for complaining. I deeply regret tipping 20% at the kiosk. They're lucky we paid up front, or we would have walked out in protest. It isn't the customer's fault if employees are being overworked. This belligerent refusal to give customers what they paid for is theft, and the aggression is... something else. But I'm getting ahead of myself, because this story isn't over yet.After a whopping total 40 minutes, my mom got sick of waiting and went up herself. Other customers had been trying to get service. The guy before her had been waiting at the counter for ten minutes, and when he saw my mom come up he turned to her and said sarcastically, "Good luck." It took her actually shouting at the staff to get anyone's attention. The line cooks shouted similar things at her too, stuff about how understaffed they were, and she shouted back until she got a manager and he started making the shake himself.We never received the coffee.THE FOOD QUALITYThe manager made the fastest shake I've ever seen a restaurant prepare. It was also the worst shake I've ever received. It tasted watered down, the candy was stale, and they've replaced their whipped cream with some kind of waxy fake substitute. (The table behind us also had to wait ridiculously long for their shakes, which eventually came out with no cherries, to the kids' disappointment.)The menu selection has been cut way down. If you were hoping for anything other than burgers, hot dogs, fries, or chili... you're out of luck. The fries are just barely cooked and unsalted. The soda fountain had 3 different sodas out of order at the same time. The ketchup, salt, pepper, spoons, and napkins are all... somewhere near the soda fountain, if they haven't run out. Are you good at Easter egg hunts?Burgers were okay. Not worth it.Don't go to this "restaurant." If you miss the pre-pandemic Steak and Shake, try Freddy's on Kimberly. Nobody should be treated this way.

Dining room was absolutely filthy as well the counter where you pickup your order was very dirty. Both our sandwich orders were incorrect, one was inedible as the bread was dripping in grease. Very disapointed. C. Pifkin
