We ate there 2 days in a row and everything tasted great! Great prices too!

What I would say about this restaurant is that it’s probably the best Chinese food you can find in the Quad cities. However there aren’t many Chinese restaurants in the area so that isn’t saying much. My biggest thing was the lack of livelihood in the atmosphere. There was no music there was no laughing there was no chatter it was very quiet. They’re clearly trying to cater to the white American, and I think for the area that might be smart but for people who are looking for authentic Chinese food it isn’t. I ordered the sesame chicken, it was good and the rice was even better.

My wife and I have returned to Red Lantern post-Covid. We ate there twice in the past week, taking our daughter on one visit while she was in town. I tried two different meals, the Sa Cha Beef on one visit and Sa Cha Shrimp the next. Each time I have visited this restaurant I have fallen in love with the taste of the food. It is a quality meal and presented very nicely. Red Lantern has a full bar, too, for an adult dinner, and the bill was not as high as I expected. If you are looking for a good sit-down dinner at a Chinese restaurant, the Red Lantern should be on your list.

Delicious fast service nice atmosphere

The Red Lantern Fine Cuisine restaurant has a pricing scam that should put it out of business. While looking at the menu, I saw that the dish, Sizzling Seafood Combo, one of the signature dishes, included, a lobster tail (first item listed), scallop, shrimp, mussel, and mixed vegetables with black bean sauce. All for $16.95. This looks like a good deal. However, after ordering the dish, I received it with not even a small piece of lobster. I asked the waitress about the lobster and after she inquired the kitchen was told that they did not have lobster. I then asked the waitress whether they would adjust the price. She went and asked the manager and, the manager instead of coming over to explain why the lobster was not included and whether the price would be adjusted, the manager sent the waitress instead to tell me that they were not going to adjust the price. I was very upset because this was obviously done intentionally. The moment they realized they did not have any lobster to make the dish, they could have let me know about it so that I could change the order. I do not know of any restaurant that does not do that. They instead decided to cook the dish with the intention of denying a price adjustment and making more money. I could have pursued this further with the manager but it became clear to me that this is a scheme that they have to rip customers out of their money any time they have a chance. I can only imagine how many customers have been ripped off this way. At this point, I am not interested in being reimbursed for a few dollars. I have filed a complaint with Tom Miller, the attorney general of Iowa and I would like everyone with a similar experience to do the same. This is a restaurant with a pricing scam that should pay a hefty fine for having a scheme to rip people off. It should go out of business for good.

Its the best Chinese food I've ever had. Their flavor pallet is exquisite. The sauces have depth and hit all the taste buds on every bite. If your a Chinese food fan, you will absolutely love this place.

Not worth the visit. Very average food, soups. Dishes have little to no flavor. Chicken dishes had very little chicken. No duck. No ribs. Waitress had no customer service and could care less. I think it was the waitress and one cook running the whole place. First and Last Visit. Too many good restraunts in town to come back for this low quality food and service.

Ordered takeout, today. Got the Crab Won-Tons (out of this world!). Got Hot and Spicy soup and Sweet Corn Egg Drop soup…both soups were AMAZING! Got Pork and String Beans…sounded “simple”, taste was incredible! Got Combo Fried rice…unbelievably delicious. Got Shrimp Chow Fun. It is delicious and great for re-heating as a “later on” meal! My wife is from Singapore/Philippines and we have eaten at Singapore “hawkers” for many years (anyone that has eaten hawker food knows how fantastic that experience is!) and, so far, since being back in the States, the Red Lantern food is THE BEST and comes as close to Singapore hawker food as we’ve found!

Good food. Horrible service. The younger staff are more professional than the older. Older lady gave me an attitude cause my order was made incorrectly and I asked for it to be made right. She wanted to argue with me. Guess what I did?? Told her I don't want any of my food and got a refund. I'm not playing games when it comes to my money.
