This was excellent! They have the Chicago classics you expect. They have Chicago dogs, burgers, Italian beef sandwiches, sausages, & a whole variety of foods. I got an Italian beef with extra gravy which was really good. Whatever they marinated the beef in gave it incredible flavor & it stayed juicy. My wife got a cheeseburger which had a nice char on the outside & she absolutely loved it. We both thought the fries were really good, they actually season them so they aren't just bland & boring. Then for dessert we split a piece of their chocolate cake, there was no disappointment!
The food is good and I like the atmosphere, but it takes ages. There's no such thing as stopping for a quick bite. I think the drive through takes priority over dine in. It's a shame because the rest of the experience is superb and it would be an easy 5 star rating.
Good food! Nice and clean place. Their Chicago dogs are legit, even better than some Chicago dogs in Chicago. Their hamburgers are good too along with their milk shake.
Enjoyed the chocolate cake and fries. The dining area was pretty cool.
They have really good food! This was my first time going to Portillos and we really enjoyed it. I had the beef and sausage sandwich with cheese and it was great. The service was pretty good as well, even at a busy Saturday dinner hour. They make their own cakes in house and we watched them make the salads. Very pleased!
Came here for dinner with the family. We opted to eat inside. Interior was clean and staff were friendly.I got an Italian sausage and shared some onion rings. The sausage was of the quality I'd expect from Portillo's (it was good). I also really like the onion rings. They are smaller than most places and have crispier breading.Would definitely return again. Thanks for being a great place to eat in the Quad Cities.
I was just on your drive through. Your help was totally slammed. They missed myMeal item from our family order. It didn’t get rung up or fulfilled. We were in a hurry so I ran inside.The catering and pickup counter staff (shortDark haired lady) resolved the issue immediately. The food Was hot and fresh. The service was efficient and professional. I believe in giving credit where it is due. We will be back.
From Maryland so this was the first time I heard/tried Portillos! Got a chocolate covered strawberry shake and it was so good. Didn't taste artificial at all, very fresh! My friend got the chocolate cake one and it was thick and wonderful too.
The hamburger seems to be mixed with something besides beef kind of like egg and or bread crumb. The texture and taste is slightly similar to meat loaf or maybe who knows to give it an odd abnormal juiciness. This also makes it less flavorful which is crummy because they are charbroiled to perfection. And if they didn't appear to have some sort of additive the burgers could be really good. They are kind of ok and you get them good size for your money the service here is good and the theme of this place is really cool it is classic 1950's done pretty big it's worth eating here just to look around this place and look at ALL the nostalgic stuff on the walls and I really like the room with the blue lighted ceiling and the dining music is Good 50's style.
This restaurant is pricey! Don't order through Doordash or you'll get cold food. The Italian Beef's are okay, be sure to get your sandwich (double dipped, hot peppers and nacho cheese!)
