Ate at Cafe d’Maries today - everything was amazing! This place comes highly recommend! The owners are fantastic and their soup and sandwiches are so yummy! I even got to try the blueberry banana smoothie - it was wonderful! To top my lunch off - the owner, (who is as sweet as can be) … said - “try the bread pudding” - “it’s what we are noted for”. She did not steer me wrong! We will for sure be back again - it was a fun & delicious lunch! I give it 5stars + Thanks to all at Cafe d’Marie!
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Super friendly staff.
Love this place. From the moment you walk in, you know this is going to be something special. But it goes beyond the unique decor. Everyone was welcoming & sincere. The select menu & food prepared as you'd hope, absolutely perfect. The soups are exquisite (we had portobello mushroom/cream of asparagus) my turkey/raspberry cream chz panini pure joy, wanting more only because they were so delicious. To top all that, the smoothies were exquisite. What restaurants have smoothie combinations like peach, pear & apricot or has a separate menu devoted to tea selections!-this must be heaven. It's hard to decide what to choose because it all sounds so amazing. We opted to take our yummy desserts home with us to savor the experience. Yes, they were that good. This is one of those restaurants where you ask your friends how their food is, they respond wholeheartedly, ask if you'd like to try it & you actually take them up on their offer. Even though we live in Chicago, while visiting Davenport, we will anxiously return to Cafe d'Marie. Outstanding.
We first visited the day after our wedding and have continued going since!! Such a cute spot with great service and excellent food! And they have an outdoor patio when it’s warm!
Literally a "hidden" gem. Once inside you feel like you've come to the right place. Baked goods fresh out the oven, COVID protocols for distancing, satisfied looking patrons are readily visible. There are so many options that even if everyone in your party sample each other's choices, you'll still have to come back to try something else (which is exactly what we'll do)! Friendly and attentive staff exemplify that customer service is not dead. Quaint spot that gives you tasty food to satisfy your appetite.
Don't miss out, this place is wonderful! The food is amazing--homemade soups, excellent sandwiches and salads, velvety quiches, countless teas and coffees. And the bread pudding!! The atmosphere is so comfy and inspiring, the staff are all good. We go again and again, because it is always so satisfying and enjoyable. Special place to bring people from out of town.
Cafe De Marie is a Hidden Gem. The Food is fantastic. The owner is your hostess. Warm friendly Great food Cafe! My wife and I will be back with friends to share the experience. The restaurant is a refurbished home. The are working on converting the upstairs to an air B&B in the future. 2 thumbs ? up!!
What a unique hidden gem in Davenport! We were in town for a night & looking for somewhere to grab a bite before driving home. We were overwhelmed by their delicious sounding sandwich menu. Once we ordered we ended up adding a craveable sounding quiche & fresh baked cinnamon roll to our order. Everything was as tasty as can be and their lattes were so unique and delicious. The ambiance is reminiscent of a New Orleans style Cafe with a French flair. The French music playing in the background sets the tone for a relaxing escape from the day. The rooms are bright & airy and filled with greenery and art. Can't wait to come back when the weather warms up to have a seat on the patio. The owner DeAnna was so sweet & welcoming and should be so pleased with this hidden gem of a spot. Places like this are hard to find and it's a must visit for lunch if in the Quad cities!
An exquisite gem of a restaurant! Cafe d'Marie is exceptional. I had the asparagus soup, quiche and a whole leaf tea. The food was lovingly prepared and filled with flavor. The asparagus soup was savory and rich. The quiche crust was buttery and the balancing of the ingredients (blueberries, goat cheese and honey) was both ingenious and delicious. The ambience was warm and inviting, with an eclectic mix of furnishings that illustrated some of the personality of the proprietors. I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and I highly recommend it.
Food was excellent. Specialty coffee and smoothie menu was extensive and sounded great. We ordered both smoothies and coffee drinks which were terrible. Smoothie tasted like watered down blueberries and the coffee drinks tasted just like plain iced coffee. Nothing like what was described on the menu. Would definitely eat there again, but not ordering any drinks. The ambiance is also great
