My Husband and I had lunch there, Xavier was a excellent server and the food was great. We will definitely visit Barrel House again when in Iowa

Day drinking during the week is easiest here ? since it's very busy during regular hours and weekends are insane!! Either way.... Fantastic place with an amazing patio!!I'll be back
stopped in for dinner last night with a few friends. you could tell that they were very busy last night because all the bigger tables started to get up as we came in. the jalapeno popper dip was awesome! had several good beers on tap which is a huge plus! I had the club and it was awesome! one of their managers came by to check on us which was weird because no other restaurant takes the time to do that which was great to see! the few servers we saw seemed like they wanted to be there and made the place one of our new after work spots!
Not what I expected, food did not look like what I thought I ordered I had a Ruben sandwich I felt I was eating it on toast very little if at all thousand island dressing not worth the price. Very cold in there had to keep my coat on even asked someon just got I know sorry and only saw the waiter like 3 or 4 times, but the chocolate bomb was the best part of the experience. First time there and last time. Maybe it will be better for you. Now I have to edit my post cause the message below about emailing them, tried and it says not valid email.
Have been to Barrel House several times, Usually for lunch. Have always had good food and a good experience. Service was good and as was our food. Love it during the summer when you can sit outside.

Good food, good drinks. Been going here for years! One of my favorites. Showing some age. Needs some deep cleaning and paint. Bathrooms need some special attention. Seems to be the most over looked part of a clean restaurant.
Was told to “sit anywhere”. We waited for someone to take our drink order for 15 min and no one so much as stopped by the table to introduce themselves and say they’d be with us. We got up and left after 20 min of waiting.
Great place, wonderfully nice staff. Food was great! Only issue was our server forgot about us, it wasn't busy when we came in and then others came in after us and she waited on them and got their orders before we grabbed her attention and then she took our order. Can happen to anybody, but it was irritating as we were on a time frame.
