The freshest ice cream I think we’ve ever had! Josh was so kind and helpful, we tried a ton of the flavors, I couldn’t really pick a favorite! We ordered mint cookies & cream, bubblegum, and sour cream/black cherry. He was also mixing a new flavor at the time and let us sample that as well! Coconut cherry was the flavor, sooo good! Thank you Josh! Oh and don’t forget to tip if you get samples and for all of this hard work to make incredible ice cream!
We just pulled out of Zaltes and we’re all blown away by the quality, flavor, and texture of the ice cream. Exceptional creativity, with some one of a kind flavors and revisioning old favorites. You’ll never guess what’s smokin’ in the peanut butter.Last week my sister took me to an ice cream shop in Omaha and told me it was the best ice cream she has ever had. Zaltes blew that out of the water. Absolutely make the trip across the river. Being your friends.

A friend suggested that I would like this place. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream but needed to kill some time so I swung into Zaltes to get a cone. I am now a fan of ice cream. The flavors change every day but some of the favorites are there every day. I'm not sure which is better the ice cream or the waffle cone. The cone is almost like a cookie it's so flavorful. They are closing soon for the winter but they will be worth the wait.
Freshly made very good icecream and great service. I believe one of the owners is there behind the counter most of the time. Good local Council Bluffs family.

If you are a lover of ice cream this is the place to go homemade flavors and very creative I had sour cream raspberry and it was amazing.
