I was just at the West Broadway Council Bluffs Villiage Inn. While my Husband and I were being seated we asked for a kids menu for me to color while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. I have anxiety and coloring helps with that. The manager made jokes about me not having one due to inflation and joked about one family sharing crayons. When we were seated we asked our wait person Jayden again for a kids menu. She told us "sure" and she would get us one. As she was grabbing it the manager who seated us stopped her and told her I couldn't have one. She kindly relayed the message that I could not have one. If I am paying for a meal there why couldn't I have a kids menu and crayons. We left immediately. You don't get my business if you are laughing at me.
Staffing shortages are seriously taking a toll on this restaurant. I really feel bad for them and the customers. Maybe they should offer a higher wage to draw in more potential employees? This place needs help on cleaning and service badly.
We decided to go into Village Inn for some hot and fresh food, as soon as we walked into the building it smelled very nice and it was clean. By the time we got to the front counter someone quickly showed us to our seat. We decided to start at a three star review so far because it was very clean and nice, we bumped it up to a four star review after our food came under 20 minutes. We bumped it up to a five star because of the piping hot food that was served!
Temperature very warm in the restaurant and the employee's working in the kitchen had NO air conditioning at all and management knew it. I felt so bad for them. Despite the atmosphere we received excellent customer service and the food was good. Shame on you Village Inn management for making your employee's work in such conditions.
Food was terrible, smaller portions than usual. French toast was way over done that I couldn't hardly cut it. No manager was walking around like normal. Waitress was terrible. Brought us empty ketchup bottle. Finally got a new one. Never offered to do drink refills. The only time she came back was to give us check. I Then told her about my French toast and all she said was OH. Then she kept repeating herself that we could pay her till we did. Hubby was still trying to eat. Never before have we walked away hungry, but today we did. That's how small the portions were. I tried to call and talk to a Manager, but I let it ring for over 3 minutes. No one answered. The only time I will go back is when a certain waitress is there on Sundays. She is good, and takes care of you..
Haven't been there in a while. It's was good.Had the ultimate skillet.Coffee is always good.Waitress was excellent.
Understand everyone is short of help, but have to say your manager Vince missed the mark. The server was by herself and had 7 tables and was struggling, while Vince was sitting in a booth. His response when I stated she needed help was she is the only server. And that he was helping her but wasn't going to argue. He didn't visit one table during our meal
My family went to breakfast on mothers day. Everyone got something different . It was served hot and served quickly. The food was excellent and the waitress was very friendly and efficient.
Great service with the waitress Jenny. If you come in often enough always had your drink memorized if you get the same thing. Had them coming out for you. Always get food out fast and on time, super sweet. Drinks are never empty. Love coming in and having her as the sever makes for a great environment.
Worst service I have ever had. Manager was rude towards customers coming in. Waitress sat us down after being here almost an hour and then took another 15 minutes to take our order. Then took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Also been waiting on our food for almost 30 minutes now. By the time I got my food my sausage was overcooked, strawberries in our crepes were warm, cheese on my hashbrowns were stale and hardly any cream cheese in my crepes. And iced coffee was partly warm because most of the ice was melted.
