I’ve been eating here for 15+ years. My late Grandma and my favorite place to eat together throughout my childhood. Within the last year or so the quality of the food has significantly dropped. From the meat being chewy or un-edible, to the rice being so soaked in oil that it just sticks together in a soggy ball. My most recent meal was topped with burnt up pan residue that made the food un-edible and a waste of money yet again. There was also a miscommunication when they took my order resulting in me having to pay more for the rest of my items. Would not be an issue but I didn’t receive a receipt or a explanation that made sense. When I called to voice my complaints I was told repeatedly how my complaints were in-accurate. Fed up with the lack of customer service I suggested I not eat there anymore and was told, “good I don’t want you to eat here anymore”. This place doesn’t care about the customer and doesn’t care about the food so they don’t need our business. I highly recommend spending your hard earned money somewhere you can get quality and service for the same price.
I'm not sure what happened since the last time I'd been here 4 months ago, but the food tastes different. Not awful, just not the same. Fried rice, sesame beef, mongolion beef, sweet and sour sauce doesnt have the same flavor as it once did... not as flavorful. Hot and sour soup /crab ragoons/egg rolls were still on point though.
Not sure if they have new cooks but the pork fried rice is definitely not up to par. Usually my favorite place for egg rolls and pork fried rice.
Love the fried rice and egg rolls here. Portions are large, a 'small' will definitely fill you up.
Covid has slowed the customers down. The food was very good, reasonably-priced. The dining room has been closed for a bit. Not sure if it will re-open.
This was my favorite restaurant, NOT anymore, they have new owners, new staff including cooks. The food is not good anymore!
Got home with our order, missing crab ragoon egg rolls in our dinners, plus an extra order of ragoon. Called them they acted like they never make mistakes, and said we needed to talk to the manager when we come in, husband drove from Carter Lake back to the Broadway store only to be treated like he was wanted something for nothing, they claimed they put it in there, stomped off making him wait quite a while before giving him the order. After their reaction we were worried to eat it and tossed it in the garbage. We will NEVER return.
Wow! Hot and sour soup is spicy! Not sure what dish I got unfortunately, but it was chicken & veggies in a brown sauce, and it was spicy! Glad to have a Chinese restaurant that isn't afraid of spice.
They have the best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had! They are friendly and make sure you make the order right every single time. The best Chinese restaurant in council bluffs and I prefer it over any other Chinese restaurants in Omaha as well.
It always takes some time when your in the drive thru but it's always served hot, fresh, and delicious every time so I don't mind waiting a bit.
