Great food large portions service was good. Liked looking out at the water from our table nice view.
I’ll start with the good. Our waitress was great. Super friendly and quick. Loved her. The beer was cold as well.Bad: food. The food was terrible. We got the tailgater appetizer which consisted of wings, spinach and artichoke dip, and soft pretzel sticks. The wings were the smallest wings I’ve ever seen in my life. The artichoke dip was way too cheesy and almost too hard to pick up with a chip. The pretzel itself was okay; the mustard was decent. The cheese dip it came with was awful.Overall, this bar is good for drinks. Don’t eat here if you want some good food. 3 stars is very generous, but it’s only because the waitress made it not so horrible.
Ordered tall doubles and got a double short. Was given the wrong pizza. Table in front had 2 incorrect orders at least, table behind had 1 as well. Manager lady was a WEIRDO. Dropped off the first pizza and she awkwardly gave us her used napkin like "I'm just gonna leave my handy dandy...pause....whatever" and proceeded to walk away. First and last time going but thanks for comping the pizza and remaking a Togo.Edit: wife just tried the pizza and doesn't recommend the Husker. Lol
Hamburger was dry and overcooked. Restaurant was understaffed. Wait staff tried their best, but the experience was not good.
We headed to the Amerisports Bar because it was next to our hotel. Initially, we were looking for Club 38 because we didn't think a sports bar would have much in the way of a good food. We were told that Club 38 was reserved for frequent gamblers, so the Amerisports Bar was a last resort.First off, this is a great place to watch sports. We sat right in front of a large television and watched the hockey playoffs. It felt like we were the only two people watching the game, which was great. Our waitress was sweet and she came over to promptly take our order. To our surprise, the food was out in no time. We order Philly Cheesesteaks and fries and we expected something mediocre. Boy were we wrong! The fries were fresh and crisp, and he Philly Cheesesteaks were full of provolone and flavorful steak. Also, the view of the river is also very nice. I highly recommend this place.
Security at entrance is rude and said "not associated with anything in the restaurant". Server was sub par...The whole place is filthy..6:30 on Friday evening..Floors had caked on food..The wood have dust from months of accumilation..Tables all had food stuck to them...Bottles of beer were almost room temp. Sweet chili Chicken was like jerky...Advised the waitress that both chicken dinners were not edible(with max 2 bites ) and she said, "oh no" and then brought us our check with everything there....Used to be a great place ...They need something fixed...
The food was excellent as always. The reason for 2 stars is the service and management. Waited 15 to order and another 40 minutes for my to go order of a wedge salad, a French dip, and pretzels. There was 2 gentlemen that came in 20 minutes after I ordered they got their wings and were almost finished by the time I got my order. When I confronted the manager his response was a flippant oh we are busy. He was very rude and curt. There was plenty of staff standing around. To top it off I watched a to go order sit in the window for 20 minutes before any staff member picked it up. I know someone that was in the business for a long time and it seems like no one is managing the front of house.
Friendly and helpful staff! The Reuben is delicious. :)
Ordered wings at 5:30pm and the order was ready at 6:35pm. The food was cool and not a bit warm, as I asked for a refund the bartender told me to go home and warm the wings up.... Worst service ever at any bar/restaurant in Council bluffs by far
The service was good, our spinach dip was curdled and the rest of the food was edible but nothing to write home about.
