First time visiting Popeyes in Coralville Iowa. Restaurant was clean, staff was courteous and helpful. Probably the best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had along with the spicy chicken in our dinners.Absolutely the worst tasting side dishes I've ever had in my life bar none! Extremely small portions for what you have to pay. Coleslaw was barely cool and had a slimy odd texture to it. The biscuits were as hard as a rock and jokingly small.Everything other than the chicken was just a complete disaster, I'll put it that way. We will probably go back again just for the spicy chicken sandwiches but it will be far and few between and sadly I would not recommend this particular Popeyes to anyone.The Popeyes stores that are in the Northern states have absolutely no similarities to the stores in the South. I don't know why that inconsistency is there but you will find that in the fast food restaurant industry.
The service was terrible. I asked for a spicy, white meat meal, but I was given a mild dark meat meal. When I told them that I was given the wrong food, they acted as if I was telling a lie. They don't even give you a receipt for your food. As if they were going to keep them and fill out the survey for themselves to get the free food. After all of that, I was still given cold, hard chicken. I was disappointed by the entire experience. Oh, and I had to use the hard biscuit for a spoon since I wasn't given one with my food.
This is a horrible restaurant with rude employees and a history of inaccurate orders.Rarely was my order correct, which is impressive as I always order online so there should be no misunderstandings. My order is always basic, no alterations. But it is never right. There is always something missing.I gave it one last try this evening and I will never be back. Ordered my normal chicken strip meal we always get. Placed the order online before I left work. I have an approximately 20 minute drive. I get there and am informed I have to go inside. No, I will not. I recently had COVID, and Johnson county has high numbers. Apparently this is policy, though this is the first time since they opened that I have encountered this. I am not going inside. I inform them they can bring it to my car and I will park by the door.20 minutes. Nothing. So I left and requested a refund by talking to Twitter support as I am now refusing to deal with this store. I want my money back. I am still waiting for that resolution.Horrible, horrible store. Rude employees. I try my best to be friendly and understanding. But too many incorrect orders, rude and useless staff... My patience is gone.Save your money and your frustration and go elsewhere.
Zero Stars in my opinion. Went throw DT and waited 30 to order. Thinking to my self "this is going to great food." Order for my whole family. pretty large order they asked me to pulled around and come inside so I did. Another 40 mins later they give me a few bags of food i check and they are not the right items. I asked about my items I was told they are out.... Tell me that when order. Will NEVER come here again.
Posted hours of operations are not to be trusted. I ordered online this evening and arrived a few minutes later and was rather curtly told "we closed". I stated I had ordered online and already paid and was told to take it up through corporate. If you're going to close early on a Friday night of all nights, perhaps have the intelligence to disable online ordering so people don't waste their time. Guess I'll be taking my business to the new Raising Cane's down the street from now on.
This is the third time they got my order wrong at the drive thru. First time I paid for 4 chicken sandwiches and they only gave me 3. Second time I paid for 3 pieces of chicken they gave me 2. Today, I ordered 2 pieces of chicken combo which I double checked with the cashier and he still gave this chicken nuggets in the picture…. You guys should take customers’ orders more seriously not just give us what you have on the hand
Was A very pleasant experience, and they even gave me a little treat because I didn't realize they had a veterans discount…. people behind the counter were super nice, guy in the Drive-through was super nice as I was standing at the counter the bathrooms could use a little attention
Spicy Chicken sandwiches had little to no sauce on them. Very disappointing. I also asked for Mac and cheese and received mashed potatoes. Also did not receive cocktail sauce that came with meal. I’ve always loved Popeyes, but will not be coming back.
It was good, but I was disappointed at the overcharge. It would have been nice if Alex had offered me the family meal, which would have been cheaper than charging everything I got individually. The atmosphere of the store was nice, and the employees loved goofing around.
They refused to offer in-person service at the counters in the lobby, meanwhile two of their "short staffers" stood chatting near the registers while chicken sandwiches I wanted sat in the ready rack. Stop using staffing issues as an excuse for poor management. Get back to work Popeyes!I went down the road to Hardee's and got a great fried chicken sandwich instead.
