My wife and I had 5:00pm reservations Friday for dinner and were immediately seated by a very pleasant hostess with great seats by the window river seats. Shane was our server and was immediately on top of our beverages and appetizers. He took the time to explain our choices on the menu and was Just all around pleasant and social with a great personality. Definitely will be back .
The restaurant boasts amazing views of the Iowa River, but is in desperate need of some cleaning and updating. It's old and outdated. Dinner was a disappointment, food did not live up the the price point. Soup and Salad were good, main course (I ordered the duck) was less than desired. Server did offer a free desert because he felt he didn't give our table much attention which was appreciated. Creme Brulee was very good.
mediocre service, mediocre food, and it took forever. The reason I gave it three stars is that it had a great view. There are better options go somewhere else
My fiance and I ate there for brunch, it's served as a buffet. It was FANTASTIC. We went back several times and honestly ate much more than we should have. It's probably the best brunch I've ever had. I hope to go back, but I don't think my stomach or my doctor would appreciate it.
Shane was our wait person. He was attentive, polite, personable, professional. The food was FABULOUS. Larry's steak he could cut it with a butter knife. My shrimp pasta was one of the best I have had. The atmosphere is so pleasing. We will be back. if you have not been there make it a point to go.
My mother and I came here for an early Easter Celebration while we were in town after an appt at the hospital. I can actually say it's been one of my best dining experiences post COVID in Iowa. We were able to secure a reservation for two about 2 hours before the desired dining time, though I imagine on a weekend it wouldn't be so easy as they were pretty full even early on a Thursday evening. It's beautiful on the inside, with view of the river and the dam. When we were their pelicans were migrating and we got to see them out the windows. There are only two notes on the location itself. The restaurant is kinda hard to spot at first, the building looks to be an old factory and so it's pretty plan on the outside. The pub attached has a big sign above its entrance but the restaurant only has a small one by the door. If you go towards the pub though it's directly to the left under the awning. The other note is that there is a lot of steep stairs at this location. They saw my mom was walking with a cane and asked if she was ok with stairs, which she was. I'm glad because we wouldn't have had the view or experience if we had sat in the bar instead. Someone who is incapable of doing any stairs though should be aware of this, as it's a big part of the experience. Both of us started with the French Onion Soup which was very good. The best I've had outside of Chicago & NYC. The salads were fine. The blue cheese wasn't very blue cheesy and the Caesar, while tasty, was not a traditional Caesar dressing. It was very egg flavor forward. It's more like a Cleopatra dressing. We both had the Ribeye steak, which were cooked to a perfect medium rare. They were a little short on seasoning, but some salt and pepper remedied that. The "seasonal vegetable" was green beans. Mine were cooked perfectly. Mom did have a few steams on hers, but again it a big deal. My twice baked potato was amazing and mom enjoyed her rice pilaf. We split the crème brûlée. It was tasty. I would have preferred a bit more of the crust on it. We also split a bottle of moscato which was tasty. All in all, I'd visit again when I was in town. I'd like to try more of their dishes. A solid 9/10. Just a few small tweaks and it could be a 10!

The food was horrible. I ordered the Steak and sent it back. The quality of the food has gone downhill drastically. The servers act zoned out. The river is a beautiful back drop for a wonderful evening, but we won't be returning.
Service is amazing, the view is 10/10, and the food is to die for!! Love this place!! The little veggie mouse on the ranch bowl made my day!
