I usually seek out small local coffee shops rather that franchise regional stores. I've visited Dunn Brothers a couple times. They have good coffee and food. On my most recent visit I had their hibiscus berry iced tea and really liked that.
I came to know about this coffee shop through my Church (LifeChurch). My experience has been pretty hit and miss. I actually prefer this location to the one in my hometown of Cedar Rapids. The first time I had the Toffee Truffle Iced latte I really enjoyed it. I asked the barista to put half of whatever syrups they use and it came out pretty well. My most recent experience wasn't a pleasant one. It was super-duper sweet. I asked the barista if she only put half the amount of syrup and she said she had. It didn't taste the same as the first time flavor-wise as she had to substitute the toffee syrup with something else. I barely managed a few sips and took the rest with me home to dilute.I've attached pictures of both experiences. The one where I'm holding the cup was the really delicious one.
Highly recommend Dunn Brothers. I went there two days in a row and there were a good 15 people in line and got my coffee in less then 5 minutes. Will be coming back. Love the atmosphere in the building. Employees are so kind
I don't live in the North Liberty area but I like this coffee shop. I like to visit it and hang out when I'm in town. It's got a nice feel to it. Staff has always been friendly and the coffee is very good. The outdoor seating area is nice, too.
100/10 would recommend. The owners are amazing to say the least. They care about their community and their customers. Will 100% support this business forever. ?
So disappointed in their dealings of delivery orders. Placed an order online for delivery. There was not an option for making adjustments to the food ordered so I contacted the store. I was assured that the adjustments were written down and when the online order came through the meal would be made as requested. When I received my food it was made without adjustments. Adjustments I had requested due to allergies. When I reached out to the store I was told to take it up with the delivery company even though it was the sandwich that was wrong---not the delivery. I paid $12 for a sandwich I can't eat.
Favorite coffee shop in the area, best tasting espresso. Great food as well, try California chicken sandwich. Great take home coffee beans as well, I get all of mine here.
Ordered cold brew nirvana- warmReceived it iced instead. Barista offered to make me a warm one, but I truly wasn’t bothered. She brought me the correct drink anyway ? but guess what! Fairly typical coffee house atmosphere with lots of windows to brighten the room. The staff was upbeat and helpful. The menu offered a bit of a different take on usual cafe lunch fare. I had a weird order because I have some dietary restrictions but they were so positive and helpful and just rolled with it! My current favorite is the hot chai tea latte with oatmilk. So glad they have Beyond sausage, makes me feel included!
