If I could give a zero I would. First We've always gotten the $25 pick 2 with the lava cake for dessert. Can't substitute that for the dessert. We never recieved the appetizer. When the server showed up with the main dishes she offered to have it come out. We declined. My wife's steak was rare rare. Looked like they cooked it from frozen. The photo is after they cooked it more. Chicken crispers have changed along with a different honey mustard. They used to be a beer battered type. So we got a slice of cheesecake and 2 drinks for $30.
We got charged for our appetizer that we never got. Got offered to take home chips and salsa as a replacement. No bill adjustment. Ordered a medium rare steak. Got a seared frozen raw piece of meat. Asked that they try to cook it a bit more since it was FROZEN AND RAW, cook complained about how "she asked for it medium rare!" Yeah, there's a difference between medium rare and frozen and uncooked. If you don't know that, please stay out of a kitchen. Chicken strips were rubbery and hard. Only thing good was the corn on the cob. Then comes time to pay and their machines weren't working. Kept us there an extra 20 minutes while they ran our card over and over again on machine after machine. Finally, they grab the joke of a manager who runs it "the old way" and we are finally able to leave.
Have always liked Chili's! Good food, great service and reasonably priced!
The waitress and service was great however the food not so much. Per the waitress - “we have a new cook and he is struggling.” 3 of our 5 meals were not edible. Shrimp tacos were missing all the garnishes, shells weren’t heated up so they just broke when you picked them up. My freshmex bowl had rice so hard I could easily have broke a tooth. On a positive note the chips and salsa didn’t disappoint and my college kids also enjoyed the fried pickles.
I enjoyed the food, but when my drink spilled, i had to track down paper towels on my own. The waitress was in the room talking with two others and we were the only ones there.
It's alright. They were clearly understaffed, with a 15 minute wait in line even though there were so many empty tables. Cleanliness was questionable: I ordered a simple ice water and the appearance of the cup looked old which makes the water look murky, and the toilets just weren't up to par compared to other similar restaurants. Food was just okay, had free chips and salsa, and ordered the smokehouse combo and BBQ Brisket Burger with Black Bean Patty. Was a little disappointed with the BBQ burger, paid $13 and couldn't even taste or feel the brisket in my mouth, but it might be the black bean patty ruining the texture and overall taste of the burger. The smokehouse combo didn't even come with any sauce on the side at all, which was a little weird. Portions also felt off, kinda weird paying $15-$20 for a dish and getting a small cone of fries, and not a lot of meat. The whole experience felt as if the owner was trying to cut cost by cutting on portions and cutting on customer experience in general. Well, it worked, and I probably won't be coming back at all.The only good thing from my experience was the service.Overall, not worth the price. Might be worth it if you order the value combos, the lunch deals or the drinks at the bar, but I doubt it, since they might cut portions on those too...
Overall just a bad experience for us. It was me my daughter and mom. We literally all got our food 15-20 mins apart from each other. They brought out her bowl of chili first, which was a dried up bowl of hamburger. My daughter LOVES soup but she didn't want anything to do with it. Then came my burger.... I figured maybe my mom's burger was a few minutes behind or something so we talked while we waited for her food because I find it rude to eat before everyone at the table gets their meal. So we waited over 20 minutes and finally saw our server again and his response was oh I thought they brought it to you I'll go get it...a minute later he was back with it. Therefore it had just been sitting there getting cold while we were waiting on it to come out. We have never ate at a Chili's before until this and it will defiantly be the first and last.
Went to Chili's in Coralville, Iowa today and had the worst experience ever. Our waiter, Nick, was the worst server I've ever had. Only got us one refill in the entire 45 mins being there. Place wasn't even busy. On numerous occasions he said he'd "be right back with our drinks." That never happened. His "jokes" weren't funny either. Worst server I have ever dealt with. Definitely will not be returning to the Coralville Chili's.
Had the combo meal. Everything was amazing! Service was great even though they were swamped. Easy to navigate menu, and great selection of drinks and tap beer. Good selection for kids. Staff was very friendly and prompt. Restaurant was clean and organized. Will definitely be a return customer.
This place is very dirty. Table was sticky, silverware was really dirty. The bottom of the cups were ?. Took forever to seat us and there wasn't really anyone there. Food was terrible. Would not recommend.
