I have to give this place three stars if only because the food was such a disappointment, despite the service being phenomenal. I ate an enchilada trio which has NO heat to it, even on bites that didn't have any sour cream. I don't necessarily need my Mexican-inspired meals to be deeply authentic, but to not have any heat to a dish that has salsa verde seems like a far cry from what I could call satisfying Mexican food. The service was wonderful, the drinks good, and the cost reasonable. I hope to try again here and have a spicier experience.

What was once my favorite Mexican restaurant in town has slid into a place I will likey not return to for awhile. The food can be great, but never have I seen such an unmotivated and slow wait staff. I felt almost abandoned, not receiving drink refills or being checked on. I had to go chase down a staff member just to get a check--and it still took them (literally) ten minutes to print off a receipt so I could pay. This was not an isolated experience, and as such I don't see a compelling reason to come back until staff have more experience, motivation, or just outright turned over.

One star is very generous. Do not order carry out without confirmation of total price. I ordered 2 Quesadilla Azul at $12.99 ( price now updated on website to $13.99 ) and was charged $15.99. I asked why that differed from my total over the phone and I was told that's the way it is. I asked for the manager or person in charge and I was told he would be right with me. Afew minutes later, I was told he was not available. I informed the person that this was skimming customers and very dishonest for a business to conduct it self in such manner. I was also charged to go fee, and Cc serv fee which were not mentioned when I phoned to order. Completely dishonest business. See my receipt below and screen shot of the prices currently on website. I was a first time guest and I was completely put off and won't be returning. I wouldn't dine in there as well, the food was below standards and the 12 inch quesadilla was extremely disappointing with barely any substance and more than a third of it on both ends was just the flour tortilla shell. All around unworthy of patronage.

Got a weird vibe from this place. I placed an order for pickup. When I got there, no one really addressed me at all. I walked in and told an employee I had an order to pickup. They ignored me. A group that walked in after me was seated at a table. A woman then went to the front register and I was finally able to get their attention. I once again said I had an order to pickup. Without any communication to me, they just started looking around. A guy brought some food and set it on a bench, and just pointed to it. They then just walked back to the register without saying anything to me. I had paid over the phone so I wasn't sure if the transaction was completed. I asked if they needed anything else and they ignored me and kept messing with the register. Before I walked out though they just pulled out a receipt for me to sign. Did that and got out of there. As for the food it was okay. A bit pricey. The salsa is terrible though, it almost tastes like marinara. My friends also service their water, and say that the kitchen is not well cleaned, so there is that too. I would probably find somewhere else to eat before going here.

Food is extremely bland. Queso had no flavor, was like white American cheese melted. The quesadillas felt like they melted Kraft singles onto week old tortillas. Rice came out cold. It was very overpriced. A “large” bowl of queso was around $10 and was medium sized at best. And terrible flavor!!!! A small cheese quesadilla was $10 for basically nothing!!?!? Everything needed seasoning. Felt like tex-mex, not authentic at all. Food needs a lot of help and work. Waiter was very nice and quick though!

We had the Nachos Machos for 14.50. Says it feeds 3 to 4 people. I believe it. My daughter and I gorged ourselves. And didn't finish it. The chicken and steak fajita meat on them was amazing. Absolutely the best nachos I've eaten. A great surprise for Iowa. Easily worth the money.

I ordered from here for me and my husband, the food has no flavor. Extremely bland. I complained to the manager and he denied that it was bad. Refused me a refund and was extremely rude. We didn’t eat the food and ended up leaving. I will never eat here again.

The steak in burrito macho did not have much seasoning. The ground beef was pretty good. Bathrooms are lit by black light only and very dark

-1 star for lack of hospitality. I stood there for almost ten minutes without even being greeted.-1 star for another 10 minutes of being completely ignored.-1 for watching the servers ignore everyone including the ringing phone twice.-1 star for speed of service. It wasn't even peak volume and they're so slow. Who's cooking back there, great grandma?1 star is being generous.

I was there to pick up a to go order. I waited patiently for 10 minutes they were busy. Not one person acknowledged me not 1. A second person coming In a young man was promptly greeted and asked the name he was picking up for and it was brought out and he left. I asked again and was told we are busy. I said I understand but I have been here 10 minutes and he just walked in? The guy walked away from me. A third person walks in again a male and promptly was given his food. When I tried to ask about mine Nicely I was told I could leave. Obviously males get service if you are a female you can leave. I will not be coming into this ace again.
