The service was what I would say is okay. It didnt stand out to me and it didnt just straight suck! The food was good but I feel like their menu decreased by more then half. One thing I will tell you is their french fries are way way better then I ever remember them being. I dont know if they are new or improved or if I just don't remember them being that good. The seasoning on them was extraordinary!
My Riblets was more fat than meat the green beans were ice cold and the coleslaw has no flavor what so ever! I waited a hour and 20 mins and pd $30 for me just to have to order something else for supper. This was theee worst food by far I've had

I ordered a medium rare steak. I got a well done steak. It was hard to eat XD the server was the one saving grace, great service. Food wasn't my flavor :/

Wife and I were in Iowa City for military related services and stopped in for dinner. Wife and I did the 2 for 29. Although the food was good the service was a little slow and the drinks could have been colder. Usually a great stop, this one was a little disheartening. Perhaps it will improve on our next visit.
Kudos to the Applebees team this evening. We had a hard time ordering online to be delivered through Door Dash to where we are staying. The Manager made sure we were well taken care of. ????????
Our waiter was awesome, the food was awesome! A very good place to eat. I would have taken a picture of the food but I ate it before I thought of it!
We visited on a Monday night when many other restaurants were closed. Service was attentive and pleasant, and the food was reasonable. My wife loved her 6 oz sirloin steak, and our grandson loved his kid's meal of mac and cheese (I tried it and it was good!). My blackened shrimp pasta had spent too much time under the heat lamp and was quite dry and, strangely, not very hot. Our server, Emily, was very patient with our grandson and made sure he had a good time, and a good dessert. Overall it was a good evening, and the prices are quite reasonable. We would go again, but we'd make sure our dishes had not spent too much time under the heat lamp.
