We ordered 40 gondolas for a grad party. The party started at 11 and they don't open till 10:30. When ordering we asked if there was any way we could pick up earlier that morning. They said they would try. They called us at 10am and said they were ready and we could come early. Great service from Edgewood Rd Zio's. Will cater from them again!
Friendly staff, delicious food. I love the spaghetti and meatballs and salad with their homemade Italian dressing.
I had a meatball sub, it's kind of a stretch to call this thing a sandwich. The meatballs by themselves are almost too big to get in your mouth even without the bread! Tasted pretty good. Wife had meat lasagna and thought there was too much sauce on it. Garlic bread was ok, I thought it could of used more butter and garlic.
You can never go wrong with their lasagna! Love how they not only give you a big ol piece, but it's loaded with meat sauce on top! Def can't forget about their garlic and gondola bread!!!
The food is mediocre at best. It's Italian food how can you mess it up? Should be pretty easy to make it taste better than a can. However my real issue is with the man named Willie. My wife and I were in there dining. We are in the dining room yet we could still hear him berating and yelling at his young staff. He doesn't seem very professional as a manager or as an owner not sure what his role is there. These are young kids and a lot of them it's their first job. If you don't have the patience to teach people how to do things without yelling, screaming and berating them then you probably shouldn't have a job in management or ownership whatever he does. Because of his actions we definitely will not be back and I highly recommend just not going there. It's Italian food anyone can make it.
I ordered at drive thru and was completely forgotten about, I was waiting at the window for almost 9 minutes before an employee, different from the one who "Helped" me, asked me what they can get for me, so I explained that I have already ordered and have been waiting this whole time for my order, they quickly grabbed it and "Thanks have a nice day" as if this issue completely fell off their Radar.. wow guys. Just wow. There was no one else behind me OR inside, how was I forgotten being as how I was their only business at that time. It wasn't even a hot item, it was a cold sub...
We ordered extra dressing with our take out order and upon arriving home, we found that we didn’t get what we ordered. We live several miles out of town. The manager laughed at me when I called and said that I didn’t have enough dressing to finish my salad. They just lost a customer.
The food was fantastic. I loved how the flavor just explodes after the first several bites. It's almost like the flavor sneaks up on you.
Ordered 2 gyro's. Order messed up and bad quality. Salad was missing. Won't go back. These reviews on here are for different locations not SW cedar Rapids Iowa if you look closely.
Surprisingly good food, at a good price. The restaurant is clean, well kept, and quieter than I'd expected. Unfortunately my family had to switch to takeout. But the calzone, salad, and pasta were all excellent. The owner(s) are extremely friendly, and seem to genuinely care about the food/service/presentation. This will definitely be somewhere I'll eat regularly. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
