Tailgaters is one of the few venues in Cedar Rapids that consistently brings in good musical acts. The bartenders are generally great. It can be hit-or-miss there have been times when I felt the service was a bit sub par. But that is the exception rather than the rule. The owner is there frequently and he likes to make sure a good time is had by all.
Not bad place feel a little confined and charge was to much at door. But drinks were good price was more than other places as well. But live music is great no matter what.
First time going there, great atmosphere, and great sound system. Hard to find a small bar that hold live bands and can still make them sound great. #RehabMonday
Barely a 4-star bar at best, but would highly recommend it to others. The karaoke and local live show setup is a nice touch as well. Would love to seem some improvements on their jukebox. Can't play a lot of songs I love from Youtube. Drinks were your typical bar drinks, and the bartenders were a lot better compared to other bartenders at differents establishments that I've recently visited. The dart boards have a very mysterious addiction behind them, but sadly, won't generate enough interest as much as a game of billiards would. But thats just my opinion when it comes to darts.
Stopped in last week. The bartender Emma was fun and attentive to our orders, she kept the vibe light. The regulars were the typical type of regulars at any dive bar. All around it was a good time.
Emma is a rockstar at the bar! Always serviceable ready to help with a smile! You always feel welcome at this great place! Otis and the rest of the crew rock! Speaking of, always great live music and karaoke!!!
The bartender Emma was screaming at a customer about his wife, and refusing to serve us except the men she was grinding on. Bar wasn't busy, but was more concerned about a customers wife on fb then patrons who had cash out for 35 minutes. Never again will I return to your business. Your bartender is trash. The karaoke was amazing but service was horrible when we simply asked for a drink after 35-40 minutes of waiting
Emma is a wonderful bartender, very happy go lucky all the time and brings good energy into such a nice and clean bar. Never leaves your glass empty when you need a drink!
You better be ready to get wet cuz you’re in for the greatest dive of your life ! Stop by early enough to catch the legendary FOXXY by day and stay for the fabulous Emma at night - the only thing better than the bartenders here are the loyal guests that are more like a family - surrounded by great food - and amazing parking as the icing on the cake!! Check out gators immediately !!!
Great times with great friends. Drinks are reasonable. Karaoke was fun and James was great! Would love to return!
