This is the closest to a Cheers bar as I have found in Cedar Rapids. It feels like family when you are there. The bartenders really interact and behave as if they really want you there (something you don't find in a lot of places around this town). and the patrons are friendly and welcoming to even the newcomer. Prices are great they have karaoke, a pool table and Tv's for sports.
Drinks a plenty. Food is good. Atmosphere, varies with crowd. Nice place.
Totally remodeled sinice our last visit. Stop by to watch the singing bartenders as they karaoke and mix drinks at the same time. iMPRESSIVE!!!

My two daughters were visiting from New York and we wanted to play some pool so we went to Sammy's and had a great time they couldn't believe how much the mixed drinks cost in Sammy's as compared to New York City. Friendly people at the bar and the service was great
Always a great atmosphere! Shawna is an awesome bartender and Riley's "Crack Fries" are INCREDIBLE! Dave's Karaoke is always highly entertaining. Highly recommend this local bar to anyone looking for a good time in a relaxed setting.
