I normally don't review places but I stopped for a quick lunch and ended up with awful food poisoning. This location never knows what they are doing.
The employees need to handle them selves better when speaking over the phone. I don’t need a teenager saying “ugh okay fine, I’ll do my best.” To me, teach them how to respond to a phone call with a customer. I understand your a fast food restaurant but I expect to be treated like you want my business, not brushed off.Take my information down while on the call and try to find the solution, don’t hang up on me before I can tell you the full problem.
Im not gonna lie I love panda's food, but the staff at this location always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Im not sure if they are severely understaffed, poorly managed, or just simply dont care. Everytime I go here (usually around 6 or 7pm) they are out of multiple menu items that I want, and that would be fine if they werent so rude about it. I used to work in food service so I try really hard to be polite to fast-food workers specifically because I know a lot of people arent. The garbage staff here make that very difficult.
Went through the drive thru today, order was placed at 10:50am. I was told it would be about 15 minutes to get the broccoli beef. I said that was fine. I pulled over to wait for my order. After 25 minutes I went in and asked about my order. The lady said we are waiting on the broccoli beef. Um ok! U continued to wait. Another costumer noticed I'd been waiting a long time, she asked the staff about my order(thanks again kind lady. At this point my order was finally completed. When the staff handed me my order, she said sorry you had to wait just a little longer. A longer by the way was 40 minutes. In this time other drive thru, in restaurant and to go were placed and filled. I understand a little wait. But that was uncalled for and the little apology was not sufficient!
The staff today was rude at 7:26pm I went and they litterally screamed at me and laughed at me through the drive thru. I wont be coming back it was the worst customer service ever and I should have drove off instead of paying. Litterally go anywhere else but here.
Dining room closed. No sign or explanation, doors were just locked. Google says dining room is open. Employees didn’t even provide an explanation just motioned to go through drive through. Left without food.
Placed my order at 5:06pm. They told me to pull around and it’d be ten minutes. 5:26pm I called and told them I was out front. I went back through the drive through and finally got my order at 5:45pm. Incredibly unimpressed. Will never come again. 39 minutes- almost hilarious.
I love panda express on the west side of cedar rapids! I made the mistake of going to the one by Lindale mall and they were out of everything. It was lunch time but 11:50am u should not only have 4 options available 3 spicy 1 thing with walnuts in it. I was able 2 order 1 bowl and they sent me 2 the window. I wasn't done with my order I also needed 2 plates. The lady at the intercom wouldn't answer me when I let her know i wasn't done ordering so we drove 2 the window and had 2 finish the order at the cash window. Then I get home open my food and there are walnuts pilled on my food. When I say pilled there was I desent scoop of nuts right on top. I always let them know I am allergic 2 nuts so they can avoid any contact. Now Im At home hungry and cant eat the food I bought. I ordered orange chicken.........
It’s sad when they help the people In in the Drive through and the lobby line before they help dashers and grub hub and Uber eats. Like we just as much as a customer as anyone else. Btw I’ve been sitting here for 15 mins now.
BIG improvement! I really thought this place had taken a turn for the worst...I felt like it had a really rough opening and a couple times was closed during business hours...then had not fresh food. I was super disappointed cause I was so excited when they built this new one with a drive thru.The last couple of times though has been my best Panda experience ever...I get the broccoli beef usually which can be iffy, but the broccoli has been so fresh and green, portions are back to normal, the drive thru is very fast and the staff are way nicer.If you haven't been for awhile, give them another try!
