I went to Need Pizza a few years back and was hugely disappointed. The red pizza sauce had a lingering sweet taste and the crust wasn't crispy. I decided to give them another try as I work downtown and have gluten- sensitives which limits my food options. Need Pizza has truly impressed me. I ordered the gluten free veggie pizza and was blown away. It was AWESOME!
100% yes! Let me first say that the gluten free crust is a game changer! Joe and his crew cook up some legendary pizza! Also a big nod to my man Ryan, who has always taken care of me when I bring people there and wow does that guy know his beer!
So I was super excited to try this place. My husband bragged on it. Get there and need a minute to look at the menu. Bartender takes forever to get back to us. We place our drink orders, appetizer and a pizza. 30 minutes later still no appetizer. Change our order to carryout now that its been awhile. Bartender tries to get us to order another drink and when we say no he gives us our check. So we ask where any of our food is. Turns out they gave our appetizer to the couple next to us. So now they are going to comp the appetizer they gave away to someone else. Ten minutes later we finally have an appitizer and no pizza. Finish the appitizer and still no pizza. We ask to cancel the pizza. We get told no you ordered it you have to pay for it. So we pay and lo and behold here they come with our pizza that is WRONG. Refuse to give us our money back but inist they "want to make it right" ended up walking out without a pizza and no refund. Maybe they had a bad night although it was not busy at all and tons of empty booths. Regardless i had a terrible time and cant really speak to the food cause i never got what i ordered. Ill find another pizza place to try in Cedar Rapids.
Best pizza in Iowa hands down. It’s New York style with a ton of flop and greasy but it’s the best flavor. Tons of fun varieties and just good pizza!
The best pizza in Iowa even in the America! The taste is amazing to me, and beer is fantastic as well. All the crews are rather friendly to us especially the bartender. My friends and I come here every week, and we enjoy the food and atmospheres. I am going to back to China soon, and I may not come back again. However, this is a special place for me and I will miss here.
super easy to order online. They have a variety of different sauces, cheeses, and combinations to try. I had some stomach issues for a long time and they were able to accommodate me with my dairy issues. The pizza is fantastic. Great local restaurant!
Pizza is amazing. Don't sleep on this joint or you aren't living. This is where beer and pizza take you to heaven. 5 stars is the least they deserve. This family business is what Cedar Rapids is made of - hard work! Bomb Dot Com, enough said.
NEED Pizza is a staple in the downtown CR community. Bob, Dave, and team care for their neighbors and friends so well, and they sure do make an amazing pizza! They also catered late night pizza for our wedding and did a fabulous job. We couldn't be more grateful for their hospitality!
I dined in by myself around lunch time. I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza. The pizza was delicious. Service was fast and prices are reasonable. Would recommend.
