I've patroned this restaurant several times. Unfortunately a fight broke out tonight on a day when I'd invited some friends of mine from out of town. On a previous occasion I had their fish tacos which were mediocre at best but their Burrito Campechano was super delicious and flavorful. I no longer see the Guacamole cart guy, not sure where he went. Their service is usually poor to average except for Ignacio the bartender. Super-friendly and always has a big smile on his face.
I recommend if the tall waiter isn't there but if he's there don't waste your time. I've always enjoyed your restaurant when I'm in town until today. Your waiter (the tall guy) only had two tables, us and the 4 young girls who did not get ID'd outside. Hope they tip him well as we left no tip. Obviously getting 4 girls drunk and giving them a bottle of tequila is far more important than another table. Had to get up to ask for to go boxes and pay the bill. I will never stop and eat if he is working. Hope the guy that thinks with his d**k didn't serve minors and they don't get in an accident from drinking in excess.
We LOVE Los Compadres and always eat here with family and friends when we are here from MO! Best staff and food!!!!

Food is absolutely delicious, reasonably priced and served quickly. Staff is friendly and it's a lovely atmosphere. This is my first time here but it won't be my last! Great job!
Staff very friendly, accommadating & on top of their game. Eats were large portions & quite good. Nice atmosphere.
I ordered 2 burritos with some changes and they got it all correct, and the taste was amazing. I've had a lot of Mexican food in the Cedar Rapids area and they are one of the best. 5/5 stars
My guest and I were treated like valued customers. Not only were the margaritas and food fresh and delicious, but the service was very quick. Make Los Compadres your next stop for Mexican, you won’t regret it.
Been here a few times now. The staff are always awesome, down-to-earth people. They are like a family in this place. This Mexican restaurant also has an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. I'd say it's definitely worth it to at least try it.
