They made an amazing cake for my girlfriends birthday, went above what I had asked for and I loved it just as much as the birthday girl. Flowers were added to the order next day and they still communicated between departments and were able to deliver them together on her special day. 10 out of 10 recommend these specific services.
One star only because it's required.Absolutely horrid place. If you want service, don't go here. Such a large facility, and they continue to reduce the number of "grocery" items. What is there, typically is some off brand, or Hy-Vee logo'ed product. Prices are inflated, compared to other grocery stores. They are taking advantage of the demographic in which the store serves. What ever happened to"A helpful smile in every aisle."
Generally helpful smiles, but not necessarily in every aisle . The Seadood area smells like a dirty fish market or New Jersey on low tide. I literally gagged today walking by.
I want to give a special thank you to Brad from my 8 year old Great granddaughter for egg nog for the 4th of July.
Very solid store. This location has great employees and the shelves are always stocked. If I can't find something the associates are always happy to help and it never takes too long to get in and out. I prefer this location much more than other stores. My only gripe is WHY IS THE RADIO SO LOUD IN THE BATHROOM? I really like peace and quit or quieter music when I'm trying to drop a log.
Found what I needed. Starbucks here was great. Had a graduation party to attend up stairs at this location that they rent out a room for anyone who needs it. Very nice space. The bathrooms were my only concern as they were in need of cleaning.
Meal time is gross! Do not eat their mushy white cheddar macaroni has a terrible after taste & my fried chicken smelled like it was fried in fish grease. Super disappointed!!
I’m sorry to say I’m only rating a one star due to Greg (aisle online manager). I reached out three different times to the store director (Mike) regarding this employee and how rude and unprofessional he was to me twice, never returned my calls or anything.First time was when my husband and I just got back from his military orders so we had a lot of groceries to price match, Greg was the manager to do this and he was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The second time Greg once again was the manager to due my price matching my mom was with me and she has worked for the company (Hy-Vee) for over 30 years and she witnessed how rude and unprofessional he is.I would not recommend this store I now shop across town and or go to other grocery stores to avoid this employee. I’ve was shopping at this store for yearssss and will never go back.
I was assaulted by Frankie Davis and the assault was captured on video from Hyvee. Even though the Cedar Rapids Police are to incompetent to do their job, Eric in security has done due diligence to make me feel safe in the store. Cedar Rapids Police have the evidence yet they are two busy to do anything about this assault which harmed a child too. Shame on Cedar Rapids Police slacking. The video shows the crime yet nothing is done... Dont depend on the police I went to Hyvee to look for Firemen that eat in cafeteria they were my hope over the police. In the end what is important is Eric did his job and he did good. I am thankful for that, even if it is just documenting at least I can say I did my best to ask for help. Special thanks to Manager who said her encouraging words to me about reporting the assault. Thank you
Customer service has really taken a dive. Very few check out people at registers and customer service. I am legally blind and have great difficulty at the DIY aisle. 1st Ave store is nothing more than a big convenience store. Make sure you have cash when buying a money order, they don't except your Debit card there. It's still unclear why Hy-Vee has shaken their tree to bare branches.
