Pizza was some of the best in town. Garlic bread was great. Service was attentive, hardworking, and really nice. Gave great opinions and were honest.Interior / environment were less than impressive and the outdoor patio was a bit of a concrete jungle. But we will definitely be back, we loved the pizza a lot. Highly recommend.Ask for the red sauce to be warm when you get garlic bread , that’ll help too!
There is something about the crust of this pizza. Many wood-fired pizzas have a crust that turns out so crispy that it’s like a cracker. This crust is crispy on the outside, but perfectly chewy inside and absolutely delicious. Of course, what’s on the pizza matters, too and they absolutely kill it with toppings. Their specialty pies are inventive and delicious. The pistachio pesto is my favorite. To top it all off, if you like craft beer, this is the place for you. Their beer lineup is top notch and their very friendly staff are super knowledgeable. Go for a classic and get the Pilsner Urquell on side pull!
Loved the White Clam pizza and can't wait to return to try the Kolbe. They have Pilsner Urquell on tap! Great service at the bar.
Been here twice but it's my absolute new favorite pizza place. I'm the kind of person that has to try any place with wood fired pizza and so far this is my favorite. Rob, the server, is super personable and attentive. Definitely recommend giving this new restaurant a shot!
Awesome pizza with an equally impressive staff! We were greeted the minute we walked in the door and our waiter Rob was the best! We will be back for sure to try more of their amazing pizzas.
Took the family here and all blown away. The price of pizza was unbelievably cheap, I had to ask if they were personal pizzas or not? Nope, meant to share. 4 large adults got full off two pizzas with leftovers. The pistachio pesto was amazing. The lasagna pizza is a must try! Lastly, they have a special ball tap for Pilsner Urquell straight from Czechia which creates a tiny bubble layer of head (foam) which 1. Tastes like froth 2. Protects the beer from oxygen. Best Pilsner I’ve EVER had.
one of the better pizza joints in the area....that ain't saying much for this part of Iowa...but my personal criteria for a restaurant goes like this....if the joint burned to the ground, would I miss it?....in this case, I think I would miss Hospods.....
Pizza was top notch, crust had a good chew and the toppings were well balanced with great presentation. Also they have Pilsner Urquell so what more could you want?
Me, my wife, and our (VERY Tall) two and a half year old daughter had lunch there last week. The staff was very friendly. They had a very large selection of beers on tap including the "original pilsner" (very good and refreshing). We ordered cheese bread & The Kolbe. Our little one loved the cheese bread and the pine nuts on the Kolbe helped bring out a lot of flavor. The food was kid tested & everyone approved.Overall we found Hospoda to have nice décor, great service, and even better pizza. I forgot to mention just how great the fresh dough is coming out of their brick oven. We look forward to stopping in again soon.
I’ve been very excited to try Hospoda. I love the crust, it’s like getting two different pizzas with the chewy bottom and crispy, wood fired crust. Our waitress was amazing!I really wish toppings weren’t so scarce. We got the margherita and Kolbe. There was hardly any cheese or basil on the margherita and MAYBE 5 pieces of meat on the Kolbe. From other pics I’ve seen, the lack of toppings is pretty consistent. Unfortunately I won’t go back unless that changes
