Very fun place, good atmosphere. However, their "award-winning tiramisu" was awful. The filling was OLD... it was literally hard. Absolutely no flavor to it and it tasted like cinnamon instead of coffee. The cream cheese or whatever the filling was tasted rancid. Bad dessert. Service seemed overworked but friendly. Food took a little long to come but it was warm. Burger was extremely greasy and fries had no salt at all. Will probably not try it again but it's an eclectic place. I appreciate that they didn't do the COVID mask nonsense, +1 star for that.
Great food, atmosphere is so much fun, I never had issues with servers..patience goes a long way! Been a repeat customer.
The food was good and I have always loved the vibe but the owner/management has really let things go. It is filthy. Half inch of dust on the wood trim between the booths, kid mouth and fingerprints on the plexiglass between booths, the menus were ripped and put together with tape, covered in food and greasy fingerprints. Old prices listed too which didn’t match the bill. 3 wine glasses all with visible fingerprints and mouth marks. None of these things cost much money to fix, just poor management. It’s a popular place, so invest a couple hundred dollars and have higher standards.
We had a great experience, our large group waited at the bar for a table. Drinks were delicious, food was too. Our waitress Mariah was so helpful & wonderful. Our Supper Club group will definitely be back!
So bummed. We had been looking forward to Dinner here! Service started out awesome with a fun waitress, but then she basically disappeared for the night. The restaurant was pretty empty, and It felt very awkward to still be there at 8pm. Food came out cold- undercooked/raw potatoes in the potato salad, burger was ?. Catfish didn’t taste like catfish. Very cool atmosphere, but not likely we will return.
Just awesome! Stopped here on a whim during a family road trip. The food was incredible, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was cool! The kids meals were great. I had a pulled pork/bacon salad and my husband had a cheeseburger, both were incredible! Will be back if ever in the area!
Very interesting place. It’s like a themed place, hoax on Hill-Billy’s. The place is packed with odds and ends for decor, maybe even a little overwhelming. It is maybe a little too “rustic” if that makes sense? Our service was great and the food was really good and was homemade. I am sure they get a lot of travelers but it does keep a local flavor. Great back “yard” where they have live music and an outdoor bar on weekends.
The ELBSnWD has this business model done right. It's sits on the outskirts of CR a bit east of downtown next to a small junk yard. Lots of kooky signs and knick knacks are plastered all about. A welcoming 'hello....sit where you want' greeted us as we entered the front door. The place is fairly small with a cabin kinda feel. On this mid afternoon Sunday only a few tables were taken. Brunch had ended at one which meant off the menu for us. The bar set was standard and they did have some signature drinks. I ordered the Edith Lucille burger with fries and apple sauce. The slow easygoing grooves of Charlie Angles theme song, the muppets, John Denver and other gems from the 70's and 80's took me back to the days of tough skins pants, colecovision, sweat bands and banana seat bikes as we waited on our food. My burger and fries were really good and big enough to almost put me to sleep. The apple sauce felt homemade but maybe not. Service was good and the place was clean for calling itself a shack. They even had a bait machine out back although I didn't notice were you'd fish at. The property looked like they may use the outside backyard sorta area during warmer weather but I'm not certain on that. If I lived in the area I'd probably stop back as they do a pretty good job at what their trying to be.
Love this place, one of a kind food establishment. Reminds me of simpler times.
Fantastic place! Everyone greeted as they walk in the door. Strong drinks, very friendly staff. The Sunday service brunch buffet was delicious. Quick service when ordering. Loved the decor. The entire ceiling is record sleeves.
