My partner and I were on our business trip and we went to this cute coffee shop 3 days in a row. The ambiance was great. The waiter and the waitress at the register were nice but the woman with the hair band and gym clothes showing up on our second and third day were very very rude. On the second day, i noticed her always having an angry look. On the third day, when i ordered my breakfast with sunny sided eggs with the whites not running and crispy bacon. The nice waiter maybe was too nice to pause and asked if the kitchen could cook it for me, he said “ok” and his ok meant i had two over easy eggs which was obviously not what I ordered. I sent them back and also the bacon were not crispy. As a waiter, you can always pause your customers to make sure you can take that order or check with the kitchen. I saw the hairband woman talked to her “staff” because she has a bossy look and looked upset which shouldn’t show too clearly for your guests to see. What a scene! Then she came to me with very rude and bossy tone “how did you say you want your eggs to be cooked?” Thinking that i may be afraid to repeat my order? I don’t know. I said “i would like my eggs to be sunny sided eggs”. “This is all our kitchen can cook”. This is ridiculous! I said ok i want my bacon at least crispy as I ordered please. She went away and then showed up with the same soft bacon just a little warmer. The kitchen at that point was not even busy. Plus, the eggs was a turn off because they were over easy and the cook obviously let the butter too brown and made the eggs a turn off for the look. I left without touching those eggs. I hate wasting food. But they should see it as a motivation to change their service. Go to Groundswell cafe just 1 minute walk, you will have exactly you order and zero drama customer service. They don’t even ask for a tip at their checkout screen. Prices are much better
The best quality cup of coffee in town. Backed up by good food and even better attitudes from the staff. They’re always happy to see me, seem truly grateful, for my business, and in life in general. The place is great, but I do wish there was more comfortable seating options.
These guys have THE BEST coffee in town. It’s rich, but not burnt, and it tastes phenomenal in their lattes. They also have a handful of vegan options! We love their oatmeal options for the kids. Not just plane berries and oatmeal but they have a chocolate chip and banana one that my kids die for. Their avocado toast is also so amazing with the veggie mix it comes with on top.
Great coffee! Gentleman at the register made a great suggestion of the N’awlins iced coffee - very good drink! Just what I needed after a flight.Staff keep it clean, organized, and stocked. Always nice to seeGreat vibe and branding is on point. We love supporting local businesses and this is a perfect example of one. We won’t forget Cedar Rapids. Definitely recommend!
Loved the presentation of the food and drinks. Great breakfast sandwiches and the espresso rolls were very good! The kids loved their take on hot chocolate.
Super nice staff and a good environment the portion size is a little bit lacking the large is about the same size as a Starbucks medium and the dirty chai latte which is fairly simple in my opinion was simultaneously too strong a spice with no chai flavor whatsoever and the espresso in it was Both too strong in bitterness while also incredibly weak. enough good environment probably has really good food would not recommend the coffee if you’re looking for a bang for your buck. I got a gift card for Christmas that I’ll likely use up on something else then probably not come back.
Great vibe going here! The drinks and the kitchen offering are both worth recognizing as exemplary. My compliments to the people who work here and the people behind Dash. Dash perfectly hits the mark.
This coffee shop is beautiful on the inside and the coffee was good, but the bakery items were dry. I got three different items and all dry. The price was over rated for what I got. I won’t be coming back to this location.
Whenever I’m in the area and need a caffeine fix I stop at Dash. They are one of the few coffee shops that consistently and properly steam their milk for espresso drinks, which makes all the difference when you crave a straight latte or flavored drink. Dash is extremely popular, I always seem to see a nice crowd both indoors and out. The staff are friendly and quick to prepare your order.
Disgustingly cute place. Definitely don't go here if you are looking for a place void of energy, yet that's chill at the same time. I walked in for coffee and a place to hold a meeting. I walked out with a piece of local art and a new spot that'll take all my money.
