The positive is it is nice to have a Cajun food place in town and the food is pretty good and favorable.Big negative is the wait ! ! I stopped counting at 50 minutes waiting for our food and there were only 5 other tables that had anybody there. We did not have reservations ;but also, were not told it would be an hour to get any food. Considering the wait, I am not sure we will do the dine-in again.Might consider calling for take-out if that does not take forever.
Great crab & shrimp and I loved the sauce. Def recommend getting the combination sauce (I forget which ones it is..). We did a medium (hot) temperature and it was comfortably spicy. Would definitely come back when I have a seafood craving.
Been here multiple times. Loved the jambalaya and the deep fried cajun corn! Always get the pack 6 or 7 with the triple threat medium! Amazing every time! The only thing I didn't like so far was the gumbo, but that's my personal preference! Keep up the good work all!
Was in town tonight. Googled seafood in Cedar Rapids. This place was first thing to show up. We walked up to the door where we were met outside by a lady whom asked if we had a reservation . We did not so we were asked to wait in our vehicle and she would come get us once a table was available. It wasn’t long and a young man came to get us and we were told to go sit at a certain table. There were only two other tables set at this time and both those left while we were there and only two more arrived. So not sure what the need for a reservation was.Staff was unfriendly , meal was untasty and served with plastic ware . Very expensive meal for the atmosphere and food.
Omg… this food so good. I think I found my new fav seafood spot. And the delivery driver was very fast and friendly
Nice set up! Very clean! Nice music selection! I got jambalaya which didn't have chicken in it just sausages and shrimp ??♀️! I asked for a SIDE of fried chicken wings or catfish was told not able to get unless purchase the whole wing comb ?. That's two downfalls for me! We need more sides options CRAB ATTACK CAJUN SEAFOOD SHACK ? I also threw up everywhere on the way back home ? spices didn't sit rite on my stomach!
Great food! Great service! Food is hot and fun to eat! You can have it mild or as spicy as you want! The Garlic Butter sauce is to die for!! Crab is cooked perfect! Shrimp are tender and easy to peel! Red potatoes are in the garlic butter sauce and they taste like more!! I could have eaten a few more!
Just the thing Cedar Rapids needed! Good food great customer service!! My family has eaten from here 3 times so far and will be returning. My southern family enjoys and appreciates this piece of what we miss most from the south.
Restaurant hours are from 2 to 7 Sunday through Thursday and until 9 on Fridays and Saturdays. Well it was after 2 p.m. I had been waiting about 1/2 hour prior to enter the restaurant. Doors were still locked and the place look dark with no business going on.. I knocked on the door and no one answered. I called and they picked up.. I got the shrimp and sausage gumbo a small for $6.. seasoned well..bit too salty for my taste..and only 4 small shrimp..mostly rice and gravy. Will be back to check out other items on the menu at a future date. Will update with further reviews.
We ate here tonight and the service was so bad, I’m writing the review in the car on the way home just so I can be done with it. Reservations were at 6 for 6 adults and one child…we got right in, no problem. That was the best part of the night.We got most of the food after about 90 minutes. Two of us ordered blackened salmon with broccoli and it didn’t come out for another 30 minutes after that, when everyone else was done. They eventually told us they were waiting on the broccoli because they didn’t want to send it out cold. What the…?The waitstaff seemed so genuinely confused about everything that we couldn’t actually tell if they were even supposed to be waiting tables. It was a bizarre and frustrating situation. Won’t even consider going back. They add in an 18% gratuity for parties over 6, so maybe they think that it just doesn’t matter what kind of service you get.
