Cobble Hill is the best of the best! It never disappoints, always great food, great wine, great service and great ambiance.??
An absolute must in the area (the entire Midwest for that matter!) Phenomenon service, good, and cocktails. Haven't had that level of dining experience since in Ireland.
✅ great service, always. ✅ classic and curated cocktails. ✅ welcoming, intimate, and casual atmosphere. ✅ perfect portions. ✅ creative applications for seasonal, local ingredients ✅ fantastic after dinner cocktails, espresso options, and coffee. ✅ fresh flowers. ✅ original art. ✅ extensive wine line. ✅ menus designed daily or weekly. ✅ happy staff.
Went to Cobble Hill for a fun night with my sister and my partner; and I was absolutely blown out of the water. It was a busy Tuesday night, but we received extremely knowledgeable & attentive service. Between the service, the ambiance, and the food - this may hands down be the best spot in town (and then some!). Everything was so delightful I can’t wait until the next time I get to visit the amazing staff at Cobble Hill!P.S. I had the steak and Charcuterie Board, and both were more amazing than I could make on my own, and it takes a lot for me to admit defeat! ?
My wife and I have been coming to Cobble Hill as our anniversary destination for over 8 years now and will continue to do so for as long as we possibly can. The food and drinks are excellent, and with how often the menu updates we always are excited for a new experience everytime we go. The staff is always incredibly kind and professional which makes the experience even better. Whenever someone asks us what we think of Cobble Hill we vehemently tell them we love it, and make plans to take them there to experience it first hand. If you are looking for a cozy place to dine on excellent food and drinks, look no further than Cobble Hill. This is truly a gem of Cedar Rapids.
Yes, it's expensive. That said, it was one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The food was prepared perfectly. The menu was unique. The atmosphere was pleasant. Our waitress as exceptional. All of the staff was helpful and supportive. We will be back. Highly recommended for a splurge.
Came for a business dinner. Made a last minute reservation on a busy night - service was very very slow - to the point of needing to go to the bar for our drinks - then finally just ordering bottles of wine. Food was impeccable. Would give this place another shot on a not so busy evening. Parking was also atrocious - a valet would be with its weight in gold.
Has a chic styling blend of rustic yet elegant that feels comforting without being overly posh, just stately. The food and staff was no exception and both infact lift this establishment into something truly special. I recommend indulging in the experience your next night out.
Cobble Hill was even better than I hoped. Tasty food, great service. We sat at the chef's bar so I got to ask (a lot of) questions about various dishes.Dishes and cocktails have layers upon layers of flavor.Short ribs were beyond tender with a savory sauce with lots of depth. The father cocktail is a must. The caramelized fennel with white polenta was a little bland. The orange sorbet and chai gelato were amazing. Not sure what to order? The staff are very helpful. Two cocktails, one beer, one starter (fennel with polenta), two entrees (pork three ways and short ribs), and one dessert (orange sorbet/chai gelato) came to $112.Did I mention that the service was fantastic?
This just became my favorite restaurant. It is the first place I have gone since being diagnosed with celiac disease. I googled Celiac friendly places and found this place, the only higher rated place for being celiac friendly was vegan and I am not vegan. So I called ahead and told them I was coming. They let the whole staff know and we're very helpful in helping me select something I can eat. Gavin was my waiter and they did an excellent job. We started with a charcuterie board (of course without bread) Then I had the Nimon Ranch Flat Iron and My wife Had The Roast Pork Belly. She then had an eclair and I had the blueberry cheesecake macaroon (made with almond flour). Everything was delicious and I did not have a reaction. The food here is locally sourced and changes with the seasons. So I will definitely back soon.Edit Google asked for an update: I went back tonight. Still amazing.
