After talking with people after a Cedar Rapids Kernels game I decided to go with them to this sports bar. It was right around when they stopped serving food but it was not terribly busy. I ordered the French dip with Swiss cheese and fries. Very good and very big portions for the price would definitely recommend and would come here again.
First time visiting this restaurant after moving into this area a little over a year ago, but it won't be that long until my next visit. The fish sandwich was great. I appreciate that they let you skip the side and reduce the cost of their already-reasonable menu items. The entree was plenty filling on its own. Good service and good food. See you again soon!
Ordered from DoorDash so not sure who is entirely at fault but in choosing wings, it makes you select an amount (12) at a set price and then makes you also add an additional amount in a sub menu to proceed. We selected the additional amounts expecting to receive a total of 48 traditional wings based on the information we were provided and what we were required to input to proceed to checkout. What we received as reflected by the receipt was a total of 24 boneless (wrong) wings and based on the receipt the order was entered manually rather than inputted directly through DD. I know DoorDash is a lose/lose situation for some of these local places especially but if you choose to officially support it and provide menu information and prices, it's worth your time to make sure things work well for the end user. We ended up paying over $60 for the wrong food and essentially half of it based on what we were forced to choose through the app.
Bushwood Sports Bar and Grill, 350 Edgewood Road, Cedar Rapids – During a March 31 visit, an inspector cited the restaurant for not having a certified food protection manager on staff. The inspector also reported that the employees were not washing their hands after handling raw meat; the kitchen handwashing sink was blocked by a broom and dustpan; chili was holding in the steam table at 75 degrees; cooked onions were being held at room temperature; and servers were storing individual cups of ranch dressing, salsa and sour cream at room temperature.“All kitchen equipment is soiled on the inside and outside, especially the hot-line and cooking equipment,” the inspector reported.
Good pizza☺️ but if you're a dasher and have to wait and can't pull through the drive thru anymore..and have crowded area anxiety take big deep breath before u go in lol
Just had a great grilled Buffalo chicken salad. This place has great food and service!
Spent St.Patricks day at the humble and cheerful Pub. Great food, great service. Homemade potato chips and Bushy's Bushwood Burger. To much for one to finish.
I have a really hard time with this place. It’s either spot on or it’s not. The online/pickup system is always a disaster. We ordered via DoorDash for pickup & when we got there, they told us they hadn’t even turned the tablet on to confirm orders. So here we wait, 40 minutes later. In the parking lot.
Pretty good food. Went there for NFL games. Look like they could use a few more servers but what else is new in the restaurant business right now. Overall very nice venue.
It’s a good bar with some good food and drinks also! It’s right down the street from the place of residence so it’s super convenient and ideal! It’s probably the one other place that when it’s packed it’s still cool.
