My husband and I were in the QC for a wedding and ended up having Jimmy's for breakfast one morning. We were so impressed with the food and service. We had an appointment to make after and were worried we'd be late. We were in and out in under an hour. Fair prices, fresh food and friendly service. What else could you ask for? They gained two new customers from Nashville, Tennessee! Will definitely be back when we're up that way.
Fast & friendly service, coffee was always full. Gravy was good & the biscuits had a unique flavor to them. Clean bathrooms & overall, it was a good experience. I'd come back through within my travels.
Went based on reviews. Covid regs kept you waiting outside for a table however the wait was not unreasonable. Excellent service. Staff was engaging and professional. Place was busy however they kept things moving. Food was very good and they kept coffee flowing. Prices were reasonable.
It was really good! I tried the house skillet which was delicious, I just wish it had more gravy with it. You get to choose toast or pancakes to go with it and you get 2 giant pancakes if you get them that easily makes it a meal to share or take home leftovers.
My husband had the three stack pancakes and thought they were delicious and fluffy. I had Belgium Waffes with strawberries which was wonderful. Hubby went inside to order but he didn't want to wait in the lobby for carryout, we were pleasantly surprised the brought our order out to our car.
Unclear on the praise given to Jimmy's.Driving through the QC area and this was highly recommended.Had to wait to get seated. Not inside, the resident hall monitor was quite clear that outside now and we will tell you when you are allowed to come in.Seated on a tiny table for two in the middle of the traffic pattern, enduring multiple patron and employee contacts. The server is amazing. Friendly, engaging, informative, and attentive. Stellar.Order came to us quicker than a fast food drive through. And it tasted like it too.Pancake, it's in the name on the building, are doughy and couldn't melt the butter. Biscuits and gravy comparable in texture and taste to thinned out drywall mud. Bacon brittle, greasy and stuck together as if it was cooked hours earlier and was stewing in the bottom of a warming pan. Overall, hotel continental breakfast fares better.
Friendly staff. Meal was ok but the pancakes were good. Very limited seating. If there's no seating available, they make you wait in your vehicle until a table has opened up. Simply because of the fact that there's literally no waiting space, and that's unfortunate. If I'm told to go back in my car to wait, there's a good chance I'm just going to go elsewhere. I would only wait if the food was absolutely out of this world delicious.
We found an open booth, which was lucky because the place was busy on a Wednesday morning. After we arrived, people were waiting to be seated. I had veggie omelet, fresh fruit, pancakes, coffee. Husband had Club 1 with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, pancakes, orange juice. All were excellent. Servings are generous. I needed a box for my pancakes, as they are huge. They fill the plate and are thick to soak up lots of syrup. This was our first time eating at Jimmy’s and we will definitely return. Service is friendly and food was delicious. The cinnamon rolls look good, too!
Best Home Cooked Breakfast ever! Pancakes, bacon, cornbeef hash, biscuits & gravy, hashbrowns and eggs! Yummy!
Going out to eat just is not much fun any more. In an effort to support local businesses we took our grandson to Jimmy's pancake house in Bettendorf this morning. We convinced our grandson to leave his electronics in the car and to be fair we didn't take our phones in either. When we arrived, One woman entered in front of us to pick up carry out. There was nobody else waiting and there were a number of empty tables. The waitress asked how many, she was told just the 3 of us. She made some comment about having to add us to some list then asked for a name & phone number. I explained we didn't bring phones so we were not distracted. Waitress said that they usually have customers wait in their car and they send a text when they have a table ready. I again explained we did not bring our phones. We were told that if someone else came in, we would have to wait outside or in our car (it was only 10 degrees outside this morning) I don’t understand why this whole interaction even occured. There was clearly plenty of room to seat us right away. I will never enter this restaurant again. We ended up going to Village in, had a good breakfast and good service. There is something to be said for chain restaurants.
