Great Flatbread pizza....I'll be back!
Decided to try The Foundry out for lunch today and we were impressed! Great food, favorites from the pictured items we got were the lobster mac & cheese and the ribs. There was a giant group of kids (like, 30+ people) from a sports tournament or something in there but we still got our food and drinks in a timely manner and our server was great!
Home of the $30 beer!! Don’t get tricked here. The tap list doesn’t include pricing on beer. But they charge $30 for a single beer. Our waitress felt terrible about this, but she couldn’t change it. See picture for proof. I won’t be back. I’m scared what they might charge!! I’ll choose one of the other great restaurants nearby.
Amazing service & Amazing food! Foundry has moved in the North Liberty-Coralville area & has definitely taking it over! Food is always fresh & great & the service is OUTSTANDING!! I recommend this restaurant to anyone. They accommodate all party sizes! Highly recommend, also there is a cute lil server named Nautyca, if you go there tell her “YOUR MOM SENT ME” :)
I was there February 6th and I sat in the bar area and I just love the bartender/server she was so amazing and accommodating and smart and funny. The menu is really assorted and I'm sure anybody could find something they really like there, I had the sunny side up burger and it was phenomenal. I would recommend this place to friends and family. The food was really well crafted by somebody who cared about it and I appreciate that. I would definitely come here again and their beer selection is amazing. I just wish I could have gone down the list of whiskey drinks and sampled of all of them. My tolerance isn't what it used to be lol. So my appreciation goes out to the bartender and to the cooks as well because they did a great job!
What a great night!! We hit up The Foundry for a coworkers bday and not only did they offer us half price appetizers because it was after 9PM but our server, Amber, was AWESOME!! She knew just what drinks and food to offer us and everything was delicious. The restaurant is clean and the staff seems to be always smiling and happy. Will definitely bcome back again. 7/5 stars.
Had a great experience at the Foundry. Our waitress Tari was the best and had a great personality. She took care of our every need. Plus, the salmon and rice was the best ever. Can’t wait to come back.
I had lunch at the foundry today and I’ve got to rave. I had a few delicious pale ale mussels and some bone in wings. The food was exceptional. Emily, my waitress went above and beyond for my friend and I. Great environment, great food, and great staff. Thank you once again!!!
The first time we ate here, it was. PerfectI don’t eat coleslaw at all but when I tasted theirs, I was really impressed. The steak is something I’ll be coming back to. The server was really good that we gave a really good tip. We ate in the morning—and yes, it’s relevant to my review.The next time we ate here, before Christmas, at around 4-6pm the perfection of our first visit was stepped on with dirty shoes, like how one of the staff who was decorating just stepped on the couch and left shoe prints on the seats that we sat on. Kinda unhygienic but we like the food so yeah, it’s okay. Then the server came, we ordered the drinks we like, got the drinks, and waited for our order. Server served us refills that were not what we ordered as she was slurring her words, seemingly tipsy, or maybe she just talk like that, until she gave our take out to the other table, said sorry and laughed about it. Yeah, the server seemed kinda drunk. The experience was ruined so we didn’t really wanna stay there longer. The coleslaw sucked, and I have deduced that I guess it is better to eat here in the morning to lunch but not after. Unlike other restaurants, I guess the food’s taste isn’t consistent to how it should be made. It was really disappointing.Next time, if someone is decorating an area, close that area to people who will eat. You are dealing with food here. I would accept this if we were eating at some fast food restaurant, but with the price of the food, that is not acceptable. We wanted something special that night but yeah, experience was ruined. We’ll never eat here in the afternoon ever again.
We were gifted a gift card for Foundry and as first timers we decided to try on a Wednesday night. First impressions: restaurant was clean, well decorated and laid out. Our server was Rhonda( I believe) and she was kind and welcoming , explaining their house specialities. We opted for the Avocado Egg Rolls and they did not disappoint. A perfect mixture of textures and spice, complimented well by the dipping sauce. For the entrees I ordered the Ribeye and my husband ordered the Korean BBQ ribs, which we split along with the sides. Steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection, ribs were tender with delicious seasonings. The cheese curds were light and airy and the parmesan potatoes were a perfect mix of stuffing and potatoes. Awesome server and a great staff that never hesitated to help out bussing tables walking by Top notch service, top tier food! We are glad we made the drive there and will be back!
