My 19 yr old son found this restaurant so we all loaded up and drove over to Bett-town? from the westside of Dport. My son doesn't like Mexican food except for my own at home, but he love pancakes so win win for all.We enjoyed the food very much and the prices weren'ttoo bad. I mean with the prices of food going up who can complain about what restaurants have to charge. It is what it is. ??♀️ We had a wonderful young lady for our server also.
Stopped here for the first time for some breakfast. Fast friendly service, good food, comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back sometime
First-timer. Had a short wait for an outside table. Restaurant is not new, but looked clean. Menu is interesting. Breakfast anytime. Or Mexican. Breakfasts we saw looked amazing and I plan to return. Our dinners were very good. Red burrito is huge, easily 2 meals. My combo was manageable, but I was still stuffed. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful. Reasonable prices.
Had breakfast there couple of times.the food is very good. The pancakes were very good. They have special flavors like tres leche and churros. Service is great.
Even though they were pretty busy we did not wait long for a table and the food came rather quickly as well. Minus one Star for the few mishaps with our server. Forgot refills after stating she would return with them shortly, not making many appearances at our table.
My 2nd Visit for breakfast following church. This is the first ever review I have posted for any restaurant. I was excited to wait in line because this building has changed hands numerous times over the past 20 years. My first experience with D’Lua was very pleasant and positive. Quick and friendly service, good food and reasonably priced. Today was a disaster. After standing in line for 15 minutes, waited another 10 minutes for a server to approach our table. Waited another 45 minutes to get our food. Pancakes showed up uncooked with batter dripping out of them. Burrito Was nothing but a flour wrapped tortilla with very little substance as described on the menu. I waited 12 more minutes for the server to come back before I had to go to find somebody at the bar to let them know that the pancakes were uncooked. Then another server approached our table asking pleasantly if we were enjoying our meal? Told him no. Three different people knew we had issues and not one of them did anything about it. I asked for the manager and there was no manager on site, so I was told… and the place was packed. They charged me for my burrito and credited the pancakes. An hour and a half later I walked out, after paying, and they had zero regrets about the customer walking out dissatisfied. I have professionally been affiliated with both of the private country clubs in this town and I understand the complaining client. Very disappointed. And also very disappointed I have to post this review. Gave them 3 opportunities to fix the issue. No one cared. And I paid my bill.
Some of the best service I've received in the area. Astounding. Was not even that hungry on this occasion and still i found myself eating a healthy portion of my veggie enchiladas. Would bring all sorts of persons for any occasion. The tempo and atmosphere are absolutely electric 10/10
My family of 4 arrived at 5:30 last night with open tables to a wait of 10 minutes. The best thing is that we got seated. After waiting 5 minutes with no one coming to our table we observe the two groups behind us already have drinks and chips and salsa. Then another group is seated and was greeted and drink order taken. We got up and left. We went to Cabo’s in Eldridge. Great service. We won’t be back to D’Lua
I had read many great reviews about this restaurant and finally decided to try it. What a great experience! The waitress and manager were very friendly and food and service were great. Their breakfast looks amazing, so can’t wait to try that. What a great place in Bettendorf! And two for one margaritas on Tuesday!
I’ve been coming here for a long time. Always really enjoyed the food and service has been ok. Although I’ll note service has never been amazing here. When family comes to town I bring them here. I’ve brought a lot of friends who also enjoy coming here. Today was the worst visit I’ve ever had and I think I’ll start looking for a new brunch spot. My visit was on Saturday around 1pm. They were busy but still had plenty of tables open so I wouldn’t say they were slammed. It took a long time for our server Kayla to greet us. By that time we were ready to order. I ordered what I get every time a birria omelette with egg whites & decided to try flavored pancakes for the first time (churro pancakes.) About 35 min after ordering our server came over to tell us the kitchen messed but my omelette and was remaking it. It was no problem we were understanding things happen. About 15 min later our food came out. I noticed right away my sons pancake was burnt. I didn’t complain cuz I figured I’d just share mine. My omelette was not as good as it usually was and the eggs were way over cooked. No biggy. I ate it anyways. Waiting a long time for beverage refills. Had to ask for our server. Then I start to eat my pancakes that look delicious but I soon notice under all the topping my pancakes are very dark/burnt as well. The server came over to refill our beverages and asked how everything was I told her they were my least favorite pancakes I’d had from there and showered her they were burnt. She said ok and walked away. I couldn’t believe the reaction but just let it go. I just ate the top pancake that wasn’t as bad as the rest. We then waiting about 20 minute for our server to come back. By this time I was irritated by our ridiculous wait times and rude service. Not to mention disappointed that my food wasn’t good. I walked to the front and asked if they could send over my server so I can pay and to ask for a manager. As a business owner I think business deserve to know when their product and service isn’t well. And how they handle it will let me know if they are a place I chose to support. The manager never came. Our server finally came and let us check out. She asked how everything was and I told her it was my least pleasant visit. She walked away while I finished my transaction. I tipped even though I thought to myself idk why I’m tipping my service was horrible. Then she came out and said I heard you asked for the manager why. So I told her it’s ok I’m just gonna leave. It was bad service and bad food. She again just said ok and walked away. While leaving the restaurant I decided I’m not gonna go back. There’s plenty of good restaurants out there who treat their customers respectfully. Jimmy’s pancake house down the street always has good servers and the food is consistent. $50 spent on a brunch I didn’t enjoy. I’ve only left 5 google review. I don’t often make the effort to write these but I was really bothered by the service. If you don’t like people you shouldn’t be a waitress. Don’t recommend this place if you want a pleasant experience. & with the manager never coming over it’s clear they don’t really value their customers satisfaction.
