Why is the only staff on two teenage girls who apparently were never taught how to change the bibs of syrup for their soda machine? Where's the manager on duty? There was one set of guests when we walked in yet the entire dining room is filthy. Crumbs on every table and all over the floor. I brought my girlfriend in because I used to LOVE going to Which Wich when I lived in Iowa City, but if this is typical of the Ankeny location then I am going to be sure to only indulge when I'm in SE Iowa. I know there's a shortage of good workers, but you have to uphold standards if you want to stay in business.
Delicious! I went on Wednesday and they have the Wicked sandwich for only $5. Can't wait to go back. They are fairly fast, affordable and tasty!

This place has gone downhill fast and hard! No substitutions (which I’m pretty sure is a staple in sandwich-making), limited menu, poor service/based on only 1 person being scheduled to work.., management??. Will not be back!
We stopped Sunday for lunch around 11:30. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned in several days. Soda machine was filthy. Seeing this made me not want to eat my food. We won’t be going back.
Ordered a ultimate blt which bosts 2x the meat all i did was remove tomatoes and avacado. There is literally 6 strips of bacon for a SUPER sandwich Which is their largest sandwich that and it barely has lettuce and mayo, I really regret spending the money at this place. Especially ially since no one even greeted me when I walked in there was no one at the register and no one behind the sandwich counter only one person in the store at all and it seemed to be a manager of some sort who is the one who gave me my food. Definitely a very poor performance.
Went over my lunch to get a meatball sandwich. Drive through was closed. Went inside and it was the cashiers first day. So she knew nothing. Tried to pay for me sandwich and was told we don’t have any cash in the drawer today. So I left. Very disappointed!
They have changed the menu from selecting the ingredients on one's sandwich to a choice of select sandwiches. This is okay, but I prefer the old selection. Made Which Wich stand out from the others
Over priced, terrible shakes and fries... Person making food wore no hair net. Overall Terrible experience.
Sept 2021 I would say the food here is good to great, it all depends on your tast. I like just turkey ham with pepper jack on my sub. Others that when I pick up their food, the Philly is one of the better subs(only when it not out of stock) and also the meat ball sub. Wednesday is the best day to get the reg wicked for about 5.20 with tax since that theirs wicked Wednesdays special.This is the best sub shop in town, this is no Cousins Sub shop that the best sub shop i have been to.
