Atmosphere is great for a night out! If you’re looking for a place that’s fun but a vibrant and chill place to also taste some whiskey, this is the place! Food to top it off is delicious! For a place like this in Ankeny, it’s the spot to be. Bar selection is a delight as well! Everyone is just great to talk to from the host to servers and bartenders and it really brings out an awesome experience for a night!
I know the weathers getting nice, so what would beat a nice craft cocktail on our patio or if it’s gets too hot come inside sit at the bar or a table, enjoy the cool air and my company. Awful experience tonight. Sat at the bar with a group of four and ordered a beer from their rotation menu on the wall. Bartender couldn't figure it out. He kept making annoyed faces and walking away while people were talking to him. Eventually he told me they didn't have that beer yet. Fine, but by that time the guy next to me had already ordered, been served, and finished his beer. All this time, I was the only person in my group who had been ordered from.They were busy and I'm sympathetic to that. However, the general manager does not seem told hold staff accountable when they behave poorly. Meanwhile, their good staff (like their very nice wait staff) have to make up the slack and be the face of the restaurant to the (understandably) frustrated customers.
04/08/2022: Terrible service. Waited a long time to get a drink - ignored for the most part. Talked back to from the bartending staff- they were extremely rude. Keep away from this place, they are not worth it.Too bad, the atmosphere is nice enough. Whiskey House just lost paying customers.

The place has great service. The food is great for its price and in general. The seating is neat. There is also a live band which I find really cool. Over all its a great place to eat. Make reservations and your set I rate this place 50/10. I would eat here a million times if I could afford it.
Sat at a table for 30 min or so without a glance from waitstaff. Tables around us got service. Waiters turned away when we flagged them down and the bartender never glanced our way at the bar. Left frustrated and thirsty. Went up to Mistress Brewing where we got great service and awesome beer. Tried Whiskey House and won't be trying again.
My first time after a friend's recommendation. Limited menue but, high quality for a bar. Will definitely go again.
1/18/22- My wife and I have been here multiple times usually with great experiences. However, this time we ordered our appetizers from our server and that was it. I had to ask multiple servers multiple times to just get our check, because the service was so bad. At one one point we thought about just getting up and leaving since no one wanted to even allows us to pay and leave. Disappointed in this go round.
