best tacos in town!!!!!!!
If you're a local you already know. If you aren't and are fortunate enough to be in the Des Moines area and hungry for some tacos look no further. This place has been consistently awesome since I was a kid and I'm almost 40. Ankeny is a "newer" location, but still the same product everyone expects and loves. I love their slogan as well...Nada es imposible
My family has been coming here since they opened in 1961…. Today was disappointed as the taco had very little meat inside. Sad to see the decline in quality…..
Ordered 4 tacos and 4 sour creams. Got the tacos but 4 nacho cheese. Kid at the counter keeps touching his face and seems very disinterested in working or cleaning because the dining room floor was nasty.
My Favorite taco joint I tell everyone about it and everyone that goes there loves it I’ll drive 2 1/2 hours to eat there any day
I love them! It’s one of the few places that I can actually get Mexican food I love that I can avoid the onions that I am so very allergic to! Love getting the steak puffy tacos and rice,& the chicken enchiladas! They’re so quick with their orders, they really should put in drive up lanes…
Being an out-of-towner and having grown up with a Tasty Tacos right down the street, their food always tastes like home. The flour taco is a must. We usually get the Krispos too (not a must, but definitely something sweet to top off your meal!). Tasty Tacos at any location is worth the trip if you are craving tacos and driving through the Des Moines area. I wouldn't recommend eating this in the car though...
They forgot to put an $8 item in my order. I called when I returned home only to be told to drive back if I wanted it. I told them it wasnt worth my 30 minutes and I would like a refund for that item. They initially refused. Had to talk to a manager. Manager finally agreed to refund the item and took my CC info. Never actually refunded my card. Shady stuff. Terrible customer service.My kids wouldn't eat any of the food anyway - said it was gross. Not my first time giving Tasty Tacos a try but definitely my last.
Tacos have gotten much smaller, employees seem like they are bored,disinterested,and don't want to be there. Building was very clean, nice dining area. Back in the late 80s til about 2000, tasty tacos was the s***. The buildings and locations are nicer, the food has gotten bland and gone downhill.
Meat was dried out, hard, and crunchy. Must have had the b team working that day because it's normally good.
