fabulous breakfast, excellent and friendly service. we will be back

Highly recommend. Great service and even better food. 5/5

Always like the food but an hour twenty waiting for food AFTER ordering for basic breakfast food is waaay too long to sit with kids… will probably go somewhere until they either get more kitchen help or reduce the tables - wait staff is busting butt so I’m unsure what’s going on in the kitchen

Wanted to come for breakfast but was a few minutes late. Service till 1045. Had bean and ham soup and chili (really cold out) excellent. Great service clean nice decor . Have family in area will have breakfast next time we are in town

Food was not worth the 45 minute wait! No flavor just blah, the toast was the best thing ordered. Service was terrible too, had to get my own drink refill, only saw the server when she took the order and brought the bill. Definitely not going back

On our way to Des Moines from the Twin Cities to take in a college baseball game and wanted to stop for a bite to eat. Looked up reviews and it said this restaurant was rated highly so we decided to stop. Upon being seated, we received our drinks. Waitress never came back to take our order. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I go up, found waitress asked her if we could possibly place our order and she informed me that she forgot about us. And laughed, hope I don’t get fired! Once we placed our very simple order, two single pancakes, an omelette with hashbrowns, we waited at least another 20 to 25 minutes until I go up, found the waitress and asked if our order might be coming… She assured us it would and it was coming right out. After about 5 to 10 more minutes we finally received our food. Food was average. Nothing worth speaking home about. Would NOT recommend this restaurant! Very very disappointing!

I had never been here before, friend took me here for breakfast. I had the Ham Eggs Benedict and cheese hashbrowns. Oh my god, they were so good! The place was clean, the ladies that worked there were all extremely nice and quick to help guests.I'll definitely be back, and soon!

They are open from 7am to 1pm. Hey, I get it, a lot of mom and pop restaurants just don't do well with the dinner crowd. But in my opinion they close way to early for the lunch crowd, I'm not the owner or the manager so not my call. Got there about 10:45, first thing is I'm greeted with friendly staff and told to sit wherever I want. Picked a booth which was nice a roomy. The waitress says we're on lunch menu is that okay, I agreed. Ordered the Italian sandwich with fries and coffee. Then told I had to wait 10 minutes before they could put the order in because they were still cleaning and transitioning the kitchen from breakfast to lunch. Agreed, because I wasn't in a hurry, but still thought it a bit irritating. I mean really?! You're open for a total of 5 hours and you can't have all day breakfast?! Wow, talk about ego power play. You eat here, do what I say and when I say it. But, kept my cool and waited to see how the food was. Ehhh, not impressed. For what I paid for my Italian, I could have gotten a bigger sub at Subway at about the same price. This place caters to locals, and I noticed that most were elderly, and I wouldn't be surprised if many were repeat customers for years. But, all in all for a new comer, I know I can find better deals and better food at different restaurants.

great, affordable breakfast and delicious caramel cappuccino, friendly service!

Best tenderloin sandwich in Des Moines !!!! Excellent comfort food. Even though on a slow day we had to ask three times for a coffee refill.
