sonic is good normally and it use to be good here, but this location has stopped being able to get things right. I am constantly paying for add bacon and don't receive it and one thing or another is missing or wrong literally every time. How am I suppose to wet that delicious pretzel to help it slide down my throat hole if you don't put my cheese in my bag and if you're sold out of cheese why aren't people being told this before being charged for a pretzel WITH CHEESE lol your lovely ankeny location is going down hill very quickly and I don't want that to happen. Please fix. Today the staff played a cruel joke on my 8 year old, he ordered a double cheeseburger ketchup only and they gave him mustard only........seriously......come onnnnn. then they don't answer their calls or fix their mess ups even if you wanna wait in line again all the way backed up to the frontage road. Sonic please get this straightened out before we lose you!
Ankeny, IA location all order stations were taped off, no indication of where to go for online orders.. Service was friendly food was great.
Haven't been to sonic in a long time, the person who took our order wasn't very welcoming. As we were waiting in line to get our drinks, a woman came out yelling at cars to see if any had mobile orders? And as we were leaving, an employee was outside at the entrance not letting any more cars pass? The whole experience was just strange.
The food is ok, but it takes so long to get your food. Which I know means they make it fresher than other fast food places. But we ordered on the app before we got there and still waiting 20 min after we got there and that was at 10:00 am.
Good food and friendly staff...kids loved the shakes ???
Missed an item priced $6.95, after one correction didn't check again, my mistake, I did not have the time to return. They did not provide receipt, I may have missed the option on the screen.. The quality was less than average compared to 1996-2019....
Their afternoon Happy hour is awesome! Gotta love 1/2 price drinks when you’re on the go!
Was going through Ankeny tonight and thought I'd try Sonic for the first time ever!Pulled in, pushed the red button, & waited to be helped. And waited. And waited. Other cars pulled in, were helped, and received their food. Eventually the screen said it had timed out and I needed to push the button again. So I did. Waited. Waited. Waited. Same thing.Giving the benefit of the doubt, I moved my car over a couple spaces in case the call button was just faulty in the stall I was in. Nope. Pushed button, sat waiting, two cars pulled in and were helped and got their food and left so at that time I just pulled out and left.On my way out, saw a drive through at the back of the building that had 3 cars in line. I was no longer in the mood to wait or that interested in trying the food, so I didn't attempt to get service that way. Went to Culver's and was through the line and on my way in 5 minutes.Also, there was a sign on the public bathroom door that said it was just for employees at this time (presumably due to covid). Just a heads up for anyone wanting to stop there that may need to go!
Always fast service, but there was basically no toppings in my shake, which is not normal.Also, people really struggle with understanding what the line for the drive thru is and instead block all traffic.
The drive thru line was long. The Sonic Blast was good.
