Was very disappointed Salmon was dry and burnt and hardly any meat sauce on spaghetti and meat ballsCome on you can do better on your carry out orders
Everyone was GREAT tonight. Server was super friendly and prompt. The "Tea Test", I don't have to ask for my 2nd glass of tea. Server either brings it without, or asks me if I'd like a refill) SUCCESSFUL!Food was really good, better than normal, and hot!Very pleased ??✌
We just moved to the area and went in for lunch. This was our first time ever in here. We ended up with a haughty waitress with the worst attitude I think I’ve ever experienced from a server in my life. Her co-waitress served us our drinks and was just as unfriendly. They clearly didn’t want to be there and were so blatantly rude to us (for literally no reason), it was truly baffling. We didn’t even get a chance to order food before we decided to leave. We just left cash on the table for the sodas we had ordered and then grabbed the manager. The manager seemed really sweet and apologized up and down. She offered to comp the drinks and even offered us a gift card - all of which we denied. The rest of the staff standing at the front podium while we explained what happened seemed really apologetic too. When the snotty waitress walked up front and saw us talking to the manager she literally rolled her eyes (again) right in front of us, like seriously?! I couldn’t believe the nerve truly. I worked food & hospitality jobs when I was younger to help pay for schooling and I know how hard they work and how unrewarding it can be at times but this behavior was inexcusable. I’m not one to ask for a manager normally (even when the service and/or food sucks) but I was so offended by her actions I just had to say something. She literally ruined my day.Honestly, the staff overall may be just fine (I don’t know) but I think you are as weak as your weakest link, so I wouldn’t go back. On another note, we ended up at the Chili’s in Ankeny right after we left here and had the best experience - the staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Maybe Olive Garden should take some notes, just saying…
Celebrated my mom’s 50th at the Ankeny Olive Garden! Service was great, and food was delicious!
Our waitress was on a roll and getting things done quickly. The restaurant was fairly packed and the waitstaff was constantly hustling. Be sure to tip them well at this location, because they deserve it!
The wait was long but only because there was a graduation that had just finished and everyone was rushing out to get something to eat so everything was packed of course, so i don't hold the wait time aganist them. Our server Gabe was amazing!! He had sooo many tables he had to attend to and ours was by far the largest out of all of them (15 people to be exact) but he never skipped a beat, he always got the things we needed out to us always as fast as he could and he was super sweet and patient with the kiddos which we all really appreciated. I honestly believe he should get a raise!!! Definitely recommend

First of all, we LOVE dining at Olive Garden. The Ankeny location off Oralabor Road can get very busy during prime dining times, so I'd suggest you plan accordingly. We arrived on Saturday, April 30th at about 12:20pm and was told there would be about a 30 minute wait, which we expected. Now, here's where I'm going to "ding" Olive Garden 1/2 star for this visit. (You'll see my rating is a 5) ... but let's take off 1/2 for the fact that a bench that could have held 5 to 6 patrons while they waited had a table in blocking it, and servers were putting to-go orders atop the table for people to pick up. Seems to me that these orders could have been placed elsewhere, and more patrons could have had place to sit while wating for a table. But, the GOOD news was that our 30 minute wait was only about 10 minutes!Our server was awesome. My wife had Ravioli with meatsauce, and I had the 5 Giant Cheese Stuffed Shells (pictured.) We each had salad and breadsticks to go along with the meal, and were VERY satisfied with our dining experience. We will certainly return soon!Oh yeah, 5 stars for the condition of the restrooms too! By now, if you read my reviews, I try to include a check on the restroom (well, the men's room, anyway!) as I think it's an indication that the establishment takes the extra step to look out for the customer!
I don’t really like the food here. Would much rather go to the Latin King. My grandma wanted this for her birthday though. I gave it four stars because of the staff. They were friendly and attentive. The food isn’t terrible but it lacks the flavor.
Had a great meal with excellent service from staff members. Our server was very prompt and took extra care to ensure the meal was as ordered. The environment within the restaurant was great and we really enjoyed our time. We will plan a return visit soon.
